@Keruaran that's more about being polite. free speech is a legal right, and a constitutional issue. horrowitz opposes rules that are used to say, prevent a creationist from obstructing the teachings of an evolutionary biologist. he wants students to able to talk anytime, anywhere. he is experiencing what it would be like teaching in a hostile classroom, the deck stacked against you. and as far as politeness, all i can say is once again, he was (and seemingly, continues to be) beyond rude.

Democracy isn't at fault here. Democracy allows for opportunity. The opportunity for good and for ill. This is an example of fools taking advantage of the opportunity for ill to carry it out. The faculty that didn't maintain a safe atmosphere that allowed for intelligent discussion found their opportunity for failure. In other places David Horowitz and other speakers talking about these issues have been able to. Democracy allowed for opportunity for good in those cases.

I mention the Danish cartoons because it's Dumbocrats who talk about freedom of speech no matter how controversial. Yet they're the ones who should down their adversaries, storm stages, and demand their prosecution. So if you're going to give a Holocaust denier his First Amendment rights, then you should have done the same for a Danish cartoonist who painted an unflattering view of radical Islam.
