No, it really was a 911 call. It wasn't a prank. The dispatchers played this for us. He didn't get in trouble because to him, it was a real emergency.

I'm sure this is a re-enactment of the actual call.

My uncle had this on a homemade tape back in the late 80's. You could hear the heavy line noise from the tape recorder and you could hear the dog barking at the guy. The guy was also yelling at a bit more excited.

But still, good to hear again. From what I remember, this has it down word for word.
