I'm not usually a fan of guys in monkey suits, but I have to take my hat off to this one. It's a thousand times more realistic than the motion capture rubbish in Jackson's Kong.

It's completely Computer Graphics (CG)and Animatronics, no "monkey suit".

Peter Jackson's "King Kong" was also all CG, ...no suit there either.

If you go to any Mighty Joe Young website, you can see that Joe was played by John Alexander in a suit. The animatronic Joe was only used for static close-ups. Jackson's Kong was motion-capture, which is still a man in a monkey-suit, digital or not. and looks like a cartoon ape.
