It got everyone talking about climate change and the issue of the runways at Heathrow and flying. It caused a huge storm in the media. It brought like-minded but diverse groups of people together. From that point of view it was a success.

Nowt wrong with letting the media into the camp, and we all assume that there are both media and police within the camp anyway.
The media hour is really to protect people's privacy, as a huge amount of the camp is effectively people's bedrooms. During the two hours of "media hour" the media can talk to anyone they like (including those street-life drunks that came along to join in).

Actually, I thought he clarified things rather well. I've seen "moles" who've done a lot worse. He didn't come across as having gone in to prove how bad everything was. He seemed open-minded and came out able to confirm that there's no intention to disrupt passengers.
