  • Bought this yesterday, the disc didn't work >:(

  • @pixelatedgoodness Odd, that happened when I got it for the first time, tell me, where exactly did the game start to go faulty (did it load at all?)

  • I used to think wii sucked until i got this game for it.

  • Dr. Peace actually made me feel sad watching him die. Poor old man :(

  • Guitar Hero: No More Heroes edition. Thoughts?

  • @ThePurplePikminz No More Guitar Heroes

  • i just bought this game and i can only say this, fuck yeah the wii actually got a good game

  • @otakufan217 no shit

  • @otakufan217 wii got some good games before no more heroes

  • @otakufan217 I think No More Heroes 2 is better. Buy that one as well, you might like it better.

  • @otakufan217 The original No More Heroes is a decent game, but it's far from being one of the Wii's best. NMH2, however, belongs in the top five games on the Wii.

I'm disappointed to still be seeing comments suggesting the Wii rarely gets good games, so even though they're different genres, I want to recommend Xenoblade, Monster Hunter Tri, and Muramasa. And if you'd like something similar to No More Heroes (besides the sequel), MadWorld may be a good choice.

  • @EphidelDarkheart

Wow, Monster Hunter Tri, Muramasa, and No More Heroes are among my favorite games ever. It's nice to know there are other people with good taste out there. I've got about 800 hours of play time on MHT,and am about HR130.

  • @EphidelDarkheart The Wii DOES rarely get good games. However, the good games it gets are amazing.

  • @Valgaav19 I've never really felt it to be rarely (some people aren't satisfied unless a masterpiece is coming out every week), but I can understand the perspective, so what you're saying is fairly accurate. I'd say that at this point, the Wii's built up quite a nice selection of said amazing games, so it's a bit unfortunate when I still see people bashing the system.

  • @EphidelDarkheart It definitely has its audience, but most of the Wii's games aren't ones that I'd care to play. I own between ten and twenty games for the Wii (and one of them is Fatal Frame 4, an import). Meanwhile, I went freaking crazy with the GCN, PS2 and PS3.

  • This reminds me of The Natural Killer Cyborg from Mother 3.

  • That's the problem I had with NMH2 no song managed to match up to this one.

  • @fsaasfasfsfa No that's not true, NMH2 has a some good songs

  • @fsaasfasfsfa lol skelter helters song was cooler then dr. peace imo

  • @fsaasfasfsfa But... but... Alice's theme :(

  • @fsaasfasfsfa Margaret's theme?

  • This song , IS THE SEX! XD

  • 'Try not to die too quick boy. I want to savor that taste 'till I vomit.'

  • @WhiteFangofWar 'Try not to cum too quick boy. I want to savor your cock and deep throat 'till i vomit'

  • dr. peaces battle in one sentence:

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, YOU MOTHER FUCKER!

  • Travis: And the food how was it?

    Dr Peace: Taste of blood

  • I love this fight. It's always nice to fight against a true gentleman, and the music is just amazing.

Dr. Peace must be my favorite character in No More Heroes.

  • I love this song, it's so good!

  • Hear the Lullaby? Rest in peace baby

  • ''Rap with me, Jennifer''

  • this song is so damn good. The bass line, the drums! Too epic

  • Dr. Peace - the man with the Golden voice and the two golden guns... one of the few people who I felt bad killing because he tried to be with his family and bond with them, but his obsession with killing ruined it. That and I'm a sucker for southern gentlemen.

  • What an EPIC song :D

  • I personally loved this battle, and theme.

The music, it gives you adreadiline even if the battle is just on guy in one stadium.

Plus, that battle was the pretty much the only battle that made me have to use the camera control angles, all the time.

Seriously, the whole time it was playing,

    But damn. Dr. Peace FTW.

  • Killing Dr. Peace made me hate Travis. Why must we be forced to kill off such likable characters? Oh yeah...because the main character wants to get laid. What a jerk.

If only there was a fighting game starring the No More Heroes characters...then I could take on the world with Dr. Peace.

  • @chucknorrisismypal Looks like someone didn't pay attention to the story well enough.

And seriously? Likable? Dr. Peace was a fucking criminal. He's a corrupt detective, works for the mafia and loves killing people for money. Don't confuse likable with affable. I mean yes, you can like the characters, but you're not really supposed to feel sympathy for them. They're all killers with fucked up minds.

  • @elmerOzo

Fair enough. It's just that at times I wish I could be playing these characters instead of Travis. In my honest opinion, I just don't like Travis Touchdown and I find him a little overrated as a character.

  • @elmerOzo people like dr peace making him likable, get over it

  • Sorry if anyone said this already, but I think Capt. Vladamir had the least violent death in the series; Ambiguosly stabbed in the head/neck/upper torso portion of his body, dies happy, and no blood (maybe manly tears) Even his body was left alone.

  • @Raytheon25 i would agree but he kinda flew into space after that

  • reminds me of a song in charlies angels :P forgot the name. but it was epic.

  • I'll have to admit, Doctor Peace kinda spoiled the rest of the game for me. He got quite a bit of characterization, and I was expecting that every character would have the same amount. Of course, that was kinda part of a joke, which are the games forte, but I was a bit dissapointed when most of the other ranked assassins were just "RAAARGH KILL EVERYONE BlARGHBLARGHBLARGH"

  • @masterplusmargarita: But not Harvey Moisewich Volodarski!

  • @klash85

sorry,. but that would weaken whatever reputation No More Heroes has

  • @klash85 *Sees you have no thumbs up* DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENIED! :3

  • #1 Favorite boss theme for me right here. I could listen to this song all damn day and still not get bored of it.

  • This is me just realizing I cannot swing back his bullets...

  • The million gunman looks a liitle like Dr.Peace.

  • @signis94 I think he was one of Peace's illegal contacts and bought Peace's gun.

  • @The13thRobo Na, Peace had modified golden .357s, Million's gun looked like a gold Luger of some kind.

  • No More Heroes movie would be a bad idea. hollywood wouldn't stay true to the theme. Not saying i wouldn't want to see one made right. it's just that they would try to appeal to the larger crowed and change shit in it.

  • @BedaVolodarski Maybe, but who knows.

  • @CarmageddonHero Knowing hollywood, they would screw it up big time...

  • @ByondRAGE Not really, I mean, there ARE some successful movies made, like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

  • @ConfusedAndAwesome Er Scott Pilgrim vs The World actually flopped. I mean it has a cult following for sure but it certainly wasn't what could be considered successful.

  • @XRaiser0 FFF.

  • @XRaiser0 that's just cause it was released at a bad time. it got tons of DVDs sold though

  • Did anyone else notice that Dr. Peace had (ironically) the least violent death in the entire series? I mean it was just a torso slash.

  • @leviathan11 True, but his body was left in the most humiliating position, with his rear reaching for the sky. X3

  • @leviathan1173

Actually, I believe Jasper Batt Junior did, if you're talking about blood. And why would that be ironic in the first place, anyway?

  • @dimentiorules

Dr. "PEACE" died more peacefully than anyone else, Jasper split in half and exploded.

  • @leviathan1173 Well, at least there was blood in DP's death.

  • @leviathan1173 that isnt irony at all

  • @chrebet808

    ಠ_ಠ

  • @leviathan1173 That is the opposite of irony because it's appropriate.

  • @leviathan1173 actually he suffered more since he lived to see all of his blood spill in front of him, thus, watching his death and feeling it, not like jeane since she had every limb cut off so she wouldnt suffer.

  • @leviathan1173 I'd say that was Death Metal and not Peace. Metal looked much more calm and, besides, being decapitated and insta-dying must be a lot, lot less painful than bleeding to death.

  • @elmerOzo Several beheadings before have shown that a head can remain alive for around 30 seconds after being separated. I don't think that anybody wants to go through how painful that shit is.

  • @leviathan1173 Its cause hes so awesome that noone wanted him to die.

  • @leviathan1173 BUT, Bad girl got stabed and died slowly :/ So its two people, but your still right

  • @leviathan1173 Nah it had to be Vladimir. He just peacefully faded away like a ghost. No blood at all. But yeah Dr. Peace's death had to be one of the more tame ones like Ryuji

  • @burnoutpro15

Upon reflection, I might have to agree about Vladimir, though Ryuji was still violently gunned down.

  • @leviathan1173 ehhhhh yeah thats true in fact i think those were the only two deaths in the entire series that were even slightly tame

  • @burnoutpro15 Ryuji's wasnt tame LOL.. He got his ass mauled by bullets.

  • @TwistedImpala Still he didn't loose any body parts.

  • @burnoutpro15 You know how bad it would hurt to get shot THAT many times? Waaaay more then losing a limb probably.

  • @leviathan1173 Well Bad girl got the same death....and Dr.Peace mentioned in his last words the next song was for his daughter...hmmmmmm..

  • @6thhokagephil

Crack theory tiem: Dr. Peace is Speed Buster's son and Bad Girl's father.

  • @CpnGame makes sense, speed buster seems to resent men, maybe Dr.peace had something to do with it along with Ryu.

  • @leviathan1173 I would say that the guy you have a bike fight with died even less violently, but he didn't die at all, so that doesn't count.

  • @Edecreed

Ryuji? He was violently gunned down by Silvia, what are you talking about?

  • @Edecreed What the fuck are you smoking? Silvia lit his ass up.

  • Well in any case, Bad Girl didn't go down all that hard, either. She had a katana through her abdomen and STILL proceeded to beat the shit out of Travis, proclaimed herself the victor, and then just kinda... collapsed. Sure, not as tame as Dr. Peace's death, but still: it wasn't all that bad.

  • @leviathan1173 was his as graphic as Bad Girl's? i forget

  • (Joke post) I liked the trailer's song better...

  • 0:56 GO NOW!

  • Final fantasy has a heavier storyline but No More Heroes dosen't. Instead the characters of NMH has more background and depth, Which is not neede in Final Fantasy who has it storyline as main. The games genre are way to different

  • @garowice Dude if you're gonna have a storyline you pretty much need characters with depth.

  • @MummyKing999 Of course, but u don't need a heavy depth. The main event is the story not learning to know the characters. If u look at many animes many of them dosen't really have a really long characters background, the same thing with many western shows. instead they let the story bring out the character and whats supposed to entertain us the most is the story. Perhaps usually the villian has a heavier depth then the rest.

  • @MrMilo13 Oh you humorous rapscallions, you.

  • @TheNexus18 Get over it. If someone makes fun of Final Fantasy, don't go all fanboy on them.

  • @TylightDark All I'm asking is that you don't insult Final Fantasy. It's too freaking awesome for that

  • @TheNexus18 Aside from Final Fantasy Tactics, FF IV and FF IX every other game was so over emo that it just pissed me off. Seriously, FFX i perhaps the most overrated game of all time.

And for the record, even the best of FF is nowhere NEAR as good as NMH.

  • @dobadobadooo Wha!? Never played No More Heroes so until I do Final Fantasy is better

  • @TheNexus18 Then WTF are you doing here, saying FF is better??

  • @dobadobadooo I don't mean it like that, I'm just saying that I want to play No More Heroes, but until I play it Final Fantasy is better UNTIL I play No More Heroes and like it. I never meant to insult anyone. And besides, I like this soundtrack

  • @TheNexus18 Ok, but IMO you shouldn't say better or worse untill you've actually played both games. I mean, I haven't played FFXIII so I can't say whether it's better or worse than FFX. You see my point?

  • @dobadobadooo Yeah I get it. Must...buy...THIS FUCKING GAME!!!!

  • @TheNexus18 lol same here.

  • @TylightDark Im not a fanboy but I actually think Final Fantasy is pretty good... I really wudnt compare it too much to this game, they are pretty different.

  • "Of course the words resevations only don't apply to those outside of the circle... Its getting ino that circle that matters."

  • loe this battle and the theme song

  • I'm kinda freaked out here. From 0:02 the song kicks in but I can hear something else underneath the song. It's to explain but it's not right. It's like a bunch of random notes, kinda like bagpipes or something dunno. I'm being dead serious and I now really don't like this tune because I keep hearing it. Seriously, someone listen to the song carefully and see if you can hear it : /

  • @mariotaz lol man I know it kinda sounds like a broken violin. I hear it all the time but ironically thats what makes the song so great! haha I'M LOVING IT!

  • @mariotaz Yeah, I hear it too. Long, stretched notes of a bagpipe kind of noise. But think about it: a lot of movie and other kind of themes have these, only they"re a lot louder. It's for building up suspense during a scene. It serves the same function here, only it's amped up even higher, to make it fast and adrenaline pumping. This song is way too awesome to be disliked just because of something like this. I totally like it the way it is.

  • @C3RB3RUS001

Yeah I know. It's kinda almost (Signature) No More Heroes theme(As it was used back in the very first trailer and loved it. I even used it about 2 weeks ago in a Super Street Fighter 4 Hakan rules video of mine. But damn I can't stop hearing that damn thing! >: (

At least you guys hear it too. It's annoying and really ruins it.

  • @mariotaz I don't think it's annoying. I think it's AWESOME.

  • @C3RB3RUS001

    I see O____o

It's too hard not to hear though, even though I try. :(

  • great backstory, he was just too easy

  • Comment removed

  • im sorry but i think helter skelter not dr peace when i hear this

    (preps for thumbs downs)

  • Is it true this was actually Helter Skelter's theme but they ended up giving it to Peace instead, much like how Samurai Summer was originally going to be Shinobou's second theme?

  • @XRaiser0 well this song was used in the first trailer of the game, which was just Travis killing Helter Skelter. So yeah probably.

  • Top ten bosses of the NMH series: (From best to worst) 1. Dr Peace 2. Margaret Moonlight 3. Henry 4. Shinobu 5. Alice Twilight 6. Bad Girl 7. Death Metal 8. Speed Buster 9. Mimmy 10. Nathan Copeland Though I have to say, I really loved all of them.
  • @dobadobadooo

The fuck are Death Metal and Mimmy on that list

  • @GenericSoda You don't remember Death Metal?

  • @redmage2000

    I'm asking why not who

And I retract the half pertaining to Death Metal, it now applies to BAD GIRL

  • @GenericSoda Why not Bad Girl? She was an awesome boss!

  • @redmage2000

I always though it was horrifyingly underwhelming compared to Destroyman, Dr. Peace, and even Harvey. They all had wacky and interesting patterns/personality, whereas Bad Girl said just rambling drunkenly at you and stumbled around swinging her bat in a nonthreatening manner.

  • @GenericSoda Bad Girl was awesome because she is a walking contradiction for one thing, I mean the fact that she looks sweet and innocent, but in fact she is a murdering psycho. Plus that I just love her peronality. And there is also the fact that the hardest boss in the game is a drunken girl with a bat.

  • @dobadobadooo

You could argue the same thing about Destroyman, who was way tougher than Bad Girl.

  • @GenericSoda I disagree, I found Destroyman to be one of the easiest bosses in the game. Oh, and when I think about it, both Shinobu and Henry were tougher than Bad Girl.

  • @dobadobadooo Destroy man had a friggin Kamehameha wave that he fired at you that would chop chunks of your health and Doctor Peace had an explosive bullet that could easily be dodged. Man Destroy man has so many more attacks and tricks that you have to learn how to deal with. All piece does is fire his gun. There is like no way you can say Peace is harder than Destroy man.

  • @Heatseaker19 I said ONE of the easiest bosses, not THE easiest. I personally found Death Metal to be the easiest, then Dr Peace, and finally Destroyman. Speed Buster is the easiest of all the bosses in Sweet or Mild, but in Bitter she is definetly one of the bigger challenges of the game.

  • He looks a bit like Ocelot from Metal Gear Solid.

  • DR Peace: He may be easy. But he has balls standing out in the open when a guy is coming after you with a 'sword'

  • @Axen901 I wish Kingdom Hearts would learn from that too...which is why No More Heroes is 1 billion times better than KH in every way possible.

  • I don't think anyone likes Jasper. In fact, I think Suda designed him that way on purpose so that every time we'd get beaten by him, it's like saying, "Haha, you got beat by a funny-looking turd"

This and Speed Buster's theme are my favourites.

  • just wild mad guessing, it could be a coincidence but i know Suda51 is friends with Hideo Kojima (the guy who made metal gear) so Steel Python = Solid Snake?

  • @tomontherun99 Ha! I never thought of that. It totally makes sense. And the guy is totally like Ocelot.

  • love the up beat no more heros is the best.

  • I just replayed this boss fight earlier today. I love the western-style quick draw segment at the end.

  • I never beat the game all the way but these are the ones i liked.

    *Nathan Copeland

    *Ryuji

    *Skelter Helter

    *Matt Helms

*Dr.Letz Shake II(Cause of the new model)

    Margret

    Alice

    Charlie

I think that's it besides Jasper Batt Jr.

  • There were very few assassins of NMH2 that could stand up to the assassins of NMH in style and originality, but anyway, here they are:

    - Margaret Moonlight

    - Alice Moonlight

    - Charlie MacDonald

    - Mimmy

    - New Destroyman (I actually liked him BETTER in NMH2)

  • I dunno, Margaret really didn't do much, nor did Mimmy. Alice, Nathan, Skelter, and New Destroyman were the only assassins I liked. Everyone else felt shoehorned.

  • Woops, almost forgot Dr. Letz Shake. He was fun, too, despite ruining a great boss opportunity.

  • @CrimsonZanpakuto who was nathan? i cant remember him, i only like maragaret because of the music. i think the bosses in the first were better mainly because you actually felt as if you had earned them

  • @Zepthire Nathan was the religious hip-hop African-Irish with ties to the mafia. He was the one who tossed hoes in the cutscene before his fight.

  • I want the golden gun from Dr. Peace :3

  • The food?Just like blood...

You're a junkie for blood old man!!

  • This sounds like something Eagles of Death Metal might do! crazy..

  • @ Hayato i'd say million gunman has 1 really good thing on dr. peace: COVER

million gunman at least required some effort. dr. peace was a cakewalk.

  • Anyone else like the music more in NMH one? especially the boss music :D?

  • @Sefifis I would if it weren't for Matt Helms.

  • @Sefifis

Not necessarily. there are a lot of good songs in both so I think they break even in terms of music, but I do think that Destroyman's theme fit him more in the first NMH. I like it much more than Kill U 2wise Over.

  • @GenericSoda

NMH2's music has grown on me, I like both now. I said this before I had any real opinion.

  • Love how epic Dr. Peace looks when he's firing off his multiple shots.

  • ''Don't die on me to quickly. I want to gorge myself on this feeling of fulfillment until I vomit.''

  • Million Gunman has nothing on Dr. Peace. love the arena you fight him in. a giant baseball stadium

  • Fuck. My entry fee....

  • @atomofish I logged in just to upvote this. Fuck. My entry fee...

  • This song. So awesome.

  • I actually REALLY like Destroyman's song, but I love Pleather for Breakfast, and Samurai Summer x3

  • for me probably harvey loischawits voladarski or jeane.

  • Dr. Peace is my favorite boss in No More Heroes.

  • He seems like a cool boss to me.

    But who's the best/favorable boss?

  • gotta go with bad girl on that one. Or Helter Skelter if we can count him.

  • @Taxattack123 As a character he was awesome. My only problem with it was that I thought the baseball field was too large an arena. I mean, they justified it in the game, but I think the battle would have been cooler someplace else. If felt so... large and desolate.

  • pleather for breakfast is better

  • @Lokihela yeah personally my favorites are:

    1.Pleather for Breakfast

    2.Mach 13 Elephant Explosion

    3.Main Theme

    4.Steel Python.

yes it ends at four. The others were kind of unremarkable to me.

  • I think their pretty equal >.>

  • Don't kid yourself

  • Playtime... is over!

  • That would be Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and he transforms into a giant bat

  • @Chrono355

    :D Right!

You get one lucky star for that. :D

  • The essence of the short film is in this game. To show a character's whole life through a pivotal moment in their lives, can be brilliant. Anime and video games sometimes pull that off.

  • @edroivas yeah but sadly that is really freaking rare. really too bad.

  • Amen...

  • Lets have a lil´ Dance XDDD ^^

  • one of my favorite themes yet one of my least favorite of the bosses

  • I would do my shopping with this.
