The fast way? Looks slow to me. Why not just roll it on some rubbing alcohol. Just lay it upside down with the ball facing the surface of the desk. then have an alcohol soaked cloth and roll it all over it a bunch of times. If you do this regularly you don't have to tear it apart as much.
