Late 80's early 90's were simple enough to understand. A good guy trying to rescue a girl and avenge his fallen comrades. Good vs. Evil. Good always wins. Much simpler to understand than Z fighters vs. Vegeta vs. Frieza on Namek or Spiderman vs. sandman vs. his dark side that comes with some special black sauce

I still think that the death of games like this came about when gaming became super popular.These days there is no challenge,story or EPIC soundtracks like this or Streets of Rage(which is rarely out of my cd player)

At least this year has Duke Nukem and Deus Ex.Other than that I doubt anything will be as legendary as this,though im sure the next cod will get 10/10 best game ever as per usual.

This is the opening demo after the opening screen where the Shinobi blocks the stars with his sword. Just let the game idle for a few minutes. It has this music along with some back story.
