I loved this song when it came out. I didn't know as much about jazz then at 23 as I do know at 41. I can see now why I liked it so much. The music was intricate yet peaceful, a fresh break from what we were mostly into then with heavy dark rock. Still get happy listening to this song.
This girl really can sing and just think Madonna of all people tried to copy her style and failed at it miserably. There is no one like Bjork. She is in a class by herself. Love her.
i heard first this song while watching Leon. I think it was very nice. they i found a way to track the artist and watched some presentation that was little weird to me. Then i watched more bjork stuff. It is soooo enchanting. the style, the oriental kind of style with flute and tabla, conga, and harpchord eventually, mixed with bass. Just fell in love with all this presentation. Same, thanks for posting it
@barbeluk1 it's nice you could climb the fence... i've always wondered what is in the other side.. besides the artists.. lol. I think your post is cool. I liked bjork but in this presentation she sings a part in other than english language. Did you understand all she said?
I was there, quite near the front. At some point in her set some kind of gun or something went off in the crowd. All of a sudden there was this huge wave of people squashing together, didn't know what it was until I got home after the festival. Great year 94, I doubt Glastonbury ever had a better line up.
just beautiful

I like the jazz inflections and drums in the beat, plus how Bjork was dancing. Her voice is cool too...

If I had a daughter I would like to learn from Bjork femininity and delicacy. She was wonderful at this festival.

I was there too. We climbed over the fence (in the days you do). No tents or sleeping bags. It was magical. Watching Bjork was the highlight for me.

Had a short video clip - as I'd managed to press the record button a bit too late. Nice to see the whole version - 16 years later. Thanks.
