  • Hi, when I select photos in iphoto and go to 'view', 'full screen', it does not make the selected photos only full screen as it did in your video, but instead it makes all the photos on that screen in to full screen mode. How do I correct this?

    Thanks.

  • @rkmalhotra100 Perhaps you are viewing photos from a different list in iPhoto. Try it with Albums selected on the left, and select the Album you want. Then select some photos.

  • Google Rightzoom it works in every app.

  • I use ableton live and i thought i would try to go fullscreen just for fun but i cant get out of it again :( i press cmd plus f and it turns on a thing in the program ... how the hell do i fix this ?

  • @nintendo82 I've never used "ableton live" -- it seems the problem lies with that software. Do they have any support? I'd ask them.

  • Hi, Is there is a way to open preview in a full screen directly after pressing

a space bar? ... I mean without intermediate state, in which it leaves a lot

    of space around ...

I installed snow leopard and was pleased to see how preview is working

in finder ... the only problem with it is that it is not going

to a full screen by default which I would prefer on my

    MacbookPro 15'' screen ...

    Thank you in advance ...

  • I think what you are talking about is Quick Look, not Preview. Preview is a viewer application with a lot of functionality. Quick Look is what you get when you press the spacebar with a file selected -- it is a very simple viewer. See episode 347 for more on Quick Look.

To answer your question: Instead of Spacebar, try Command+Option+Y.

  • Thanks a lot, it's working ... I continue to wonder though how to invoke that with a spacebar, as this Cmd+Opt+Y is not easy to press ...

I found that Opt+Space bar does the same, but requires Esc to exit it ... unfortunately

  • i need help, i clicked on this addition sign and then my safari screen turned small, i want to make it full screen but i dont know how

  • You can drag the bottom right corner of the window to stretch it to close to full screen. Or, install a third-party program like Saft to cover even more. But Safari doesn't have a native full-screen mode. Also look into using Fluid (see episode 299)

  • @macmostvideo Wow that's great never knew about the bottom right corner window... i was wondering how to do that. Thanks soooo much, super informative =)))

  • i put the windows in the top left corner and drag it out

  • I dont own a Mac (I will I swear) but when I go to the store, I learn a lot by using them. I've seen that Ctrl+mouse sroll up/down can zoom in/out following the mouse. I dont know if Im clear but, just try it you'll see what I mean. It's not perfect as i follows the mouse very close and you dont have to move it accidentaly :/ Still, its very useful for flash video players without the holy "fullscreen" button.

I dont know if there's a way to get rid of the mouse cursor.

    [Macmost is clear&smart]

  • and you can also work in full screen with the NEW iWork to focus more in the document

  • On a side note, could anyone please explain what the

"Window > Bring All To Front" does?

I've tried it several times with multiple applications but I see no effect

  • It works only if you have multiple windows open and some are behind other windows in other applications. Happens most commonly with the Finder. Then, of course, all those windows are brought in front of all windows in other applications.

  • I just do Command + F

  • For which application? Some are Command+F, some Command+Option+F, some Command+G. You have to check the menu bar to see which one.

  • I usually only use Quicktime Player. And on other applications that I hardly ever use, I just use View+Full screen.

  • good job and keep up the good work

  • what i do is put my dock on the side of my screen and that wayy i get more vertical space (as screens are all widescreen now ^^)

i also set my dock to auto hide when i want a true full screen with all the screen covered

  • you have to get quicktime pro to get fullscreen

  • I don't think you do.

  • no they cancelled that and put ful screen in the free version back ^^

  • just use vlc quicktime doesnt even recognize that many video codecs and theres no options..

vlc will play basically any video format/codec including FLV (flash videos) and it transcodes/streams them for you. you can do fullscreen, change aspect ratio

  • some times is use the zoom button thing on the mac(ctrl,& then with the mouse) !!

  • I use it all the time.
