Did you know that last week game when MV scored the 2nd goal, Muscat ran to The AU crowds, got his team mate to form an uplift with their hands, and he climb it 1m off the ground. AND the AU played 14 games more (the A-league is a 21 game competition .. hence 66% more).
Well what if you go to Europe? Surely Manchester Utd would be happier with winning the premier league than UEFA as it rewards consistency. Security refused to let us move so we stayed there and we were fine for the whole match. If you wear your United stuff, I'm sure you'll be fine as well.

Did you know that last week game when MV scored the 2nd goal, Muscat ran to The AU crowds, got his team mate to form an uplift with their hands, and he climb it 1m off the ground. He looked at the AU crowd of women and children and thrusted his groin back and forth at them 3 times.The referee was there and looked up at him and smiled. I was there 10 metres away. I'm sure I saw the Ref lick his lips. And ... you my mate, talk about a finger!

Did you know that, not ONE, not TWO, not THREE, not FOUR, but FIVE AU players are named in the NATIONAL A-League team. AND ... Vidmar, named as the BEST A-LEAGUE national coach for the A-LEAGUE national team. Basically, with a few players from other A-League team, Australia recognised The AU and the NATIONAL A-League team (well ... just about). soybolso29, well, with all the penalties award to MV against The AU, I think it would be hard done by for any team to win (that's the first two games). In the third game, the first goal offside certainly changed the tempo towards MV's advantage. That's what I mean. MV get all these GREY benefits in the A-League. Yet, it is MORE balanced by NUETRAL international referees ... at WHICH POINT MV can't win! IN the A-League TOOO MANY GREY calls go to MV! Think WHY....?

So the referee bought the worst dive of the season by Cristiano, Adelaide goal, and did not buy the second worst dive by Daniel. Both decisions told in the final analysis. CoolCat094, there is local competition, and there is international competition.You can't mix the two together. It's like trying to mix oil with water. International competitions are run as a much HIGHER standard than local. The tensions are higher. The stress is higher. The highs are higher. Local competition. though good, really comes off second best. Any, MV equalled The AU in Premiership Points and GD. AND the AU played 14 games more (the A-league is a 21 game competition .. hence 66% more).

Well what if you go to Europe? Surely Manchester Utd would be happier with winning the premier league than UEFA as it rewards consistency. Even though Melbourne and Adelaide did finish on equal points and GD, we still did finish on top. Much like winning a match on a penalty shootout. And with the extra matches you guys played, you never hear of the big European teams complaining about it

CoolCat094, it's really shame on MV to finish equal to The AU after 66% more games being played by The AU. It's like MV started at the 200m mark, and The AU started at the 1km. At the end of the race, they both came equal. Only technicality giives MV an advantage. If they chose GA as the mark of excellence (granted, its a DEFENSIVE excellence ... A-League record by the way) then the Premiership table would look different! Again, shame on MV for only equalling The AU at the end of the race!

Still it's enough. Whether it's by goals scored or by 20 premiership points it still looks just as good to me. And we didn't equal, we finished top AND beat you three times during the season. Well done on the GA record but I'd much rather Melbourne be known as an attacking team as Goals = excitement = bigger crowds.

The AU played 14 additional games because of their awesomeness in the ACL playoffs, and the Club WORLD CUP! 2/3'rds more is about 66%. dadoxtus, I went to the Adelaide match, wearing my MVFC stuff and I got stuck literally right behind the Red Army due to a fuck up with the ticketing department. Security refused to let us move so we stayed there and we were fine for the whole match. If you wear your United stuff, I'm sure you'll be fine as well.

The Referee just looked up and "licked his lips" with a smile! I was right there ... about 10 metres away. Now on a serious note, there r 3 selection issues from this game that have got me fucked off.
Firstly, Dodd is NOT a striker with that speed and skill he is an ideal Right Midfielder.
Secondly, I dont believe 4 1 second that Diego is still injured. 4 the last month they've kept on saying he's 1 week away, thats crap. Did Diego fuck Vidmar's wife or something, without him we've got no good creative midfielders.
Thirdly, D.Mullen DEFINETELY should have started ahead of Valkanis or Marrone.

I give up.
I think all Melb fans should show me some sympathy.
Im a passionate Port Adelaide supporter and Adel.Utd supporter.
First Adel.Utd lose the GF 6-0, then in 2007 Port lose the AFL GF by 20 goals, then late last year Adel.Utd lose the ACL final 5-0 on aggregate.
Now it looks like where going 2 fail again in the A-League finals.
I think im gonna start following equestrian as my main sport!

dadoxtus, don't give up mate! It was an all round crap game. MV played crap. The AU played more crap ... that's all. It was sub-standard. Not the kind of game you'd expect a finals playoff to be. Plus, MV first goal was Offside. That fatal decision changed the nature of the game. This was embarrassing for all Aussie Football!

CoolCat094, it was a crap game from both teams. It's just that The AU played more crap than MV! I just hope no-one from overseas saw this rubbish ... they both played sub-standard. The only good thing about it is that MV are now content. That will be their disadvantage in the Grand Finals. Oh, by the way, the first goal was OFF SIDE! Check out other sources and have a look for yourself!
