TimsterDar dude u do not want to piss these guys off because para's is a small community and they will kick your ass my brother is a instructor 4 the pjs and an xranger
some people get a second chance they usually only give it to medical pulls because if you go through it once and can't cut it you probably can't do it the second time around.
It was especially fun during peacetime. Our class, 74-05 started with 109 and ended up with 9. I did want to go to Vietnam to save pilots, but it ended just as I joined:( I give it to the guys who are active duty right now as you are doing the real work in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. I may have got 14 saves, but not while the bullets and grenade launchers were flying around, Best of luck to you guys over there, and keep your head in the moment.
ElSalvador311, want to get an idea of what you're asking? Just look at Jim Lundberg's post. He said his class started with 109 and ended with 9. That's no shit, bro. CCT/PJ has a 90% washout rate. Indoc is an ass-kicker, and then you've got another 18 months in the pipeline if you make it through Indoc. Yeah...not a program for the weak.
For all those who have dreams of being a PJ here is some advice. Spend everyday swimming and running and have the desire to never give up no matter how much pain your in!!
What mutha f@cker! You just lost that bet dumb ass! Do some research shithead and see if there's an instructor at PJ indoc named Caleb. I smoke pieces of shit like you all day who dream of being half of what I am. F@ck u!
Back in the day I was an HC-130 Crew Chief with the 67th ARRS. PJ's then and now are the men that Grand Pa tells stories of. Those of you talking s##t need to close your stinking pie holes. Just for the record those teams in Iceland hang out it all out all the time. The North Altanic kills you just as dead a Bullet. And what the hell does they did some "great civil missions but that's pretty much it"get a clue. here is hint "so others may live"
I know a green beret, I asked him and he said it is most likely harder to get into the pararescue (airforce special forces) so they're all pretty bad ass which is what he said exactly
Please email me and give me info about this I am extremely interested in joining the airforce and doing this.. if anyone has experience with this please email me I would really appreciate it lxuxixs@gmail.dot com thanks...
If you want to try out and be a PJ you need to get in line like everyone else and do the research. No one's going to give any magic advice or anything else that will help you. You will only know if you have what it takes once you spend approx. 10 weeks down there. They will crack open your head and see if you have the mental fortitude to continue on in your pursuit to be in pararescue. And no, I'm not going to talk to random people on youtube. This all the time I have ladies...good luck :)
In total agreement with Caleb, you'll just have to join and see if you've got it. Don't get sucked in by recruiters who promise you this, because CCT/PJ isn't a GTEP. You can try out for this, and even enter the program, but just remember you are up against a 90 percent attrition rate. Recruiters and people e-mailing you ahead of time ain't gonna help.
If you wanna do this don't listen to this idot go talk to any Air Force recruiter they love to get people for Pararescue. The recruiter can tell you what to expect will handle all the paper work and and do your initial test. It will be the hardest thing you have ever done and 90% of the people don't make it through but good luck.
well, they are supposed to be rough with the downed pilots...I believe its because anyone could dress up like a downed pilot. So they are supposed to treat the pilots (search them, control them) until they get back to base.
They're actually performing a search to make sure he doesn't have weapons, grenades bombs, etc.. hence why he walked up to them with hands in the air, until they can verify if he is the person they're looking for.. They put him to the ground to control him.. it's normal procedure
Training videos not missions... if you work for tier one assets you can't show training videos but any other team in the AF, absolutely. The conventional shit's all over the internet.
Can any other team post a better PJ video than this? This is not a real snapshot of what the guys are doing right now. This video is just the disbanded, no comabt havin' Iceland club screwing off as usual. They did some great civil missions but that's pretty much it...
Can any of the other teams come up with a better than the no combat havin' Iceland club. It's just a video of them screwing around. I like the choice in music but there's s lot more to Pararescue than this.
Training for this right now gonna be a bitch. but on hell of a ride

Anyone know why they jump with a 55 gallon drum (1:01)?
Hasbro253 3 years ago
if your referring to the blue object that follows the jumper out of the top left corner, i believe it is the second jumpers blue jump suit
Powerstroke319 2 years ago
@Hasbro253 - the 55 gallon drum is an equipment case that we use for heavy equipment when jumping MFF Tandem.

Oh yeah...
Emphasis on the mental strength.
You can have a very athletic body, but if you don't have the mentality, you won't last.
Sure is a satisfying job though.
