That has to do with the market, not government requirements of a minimum wage. If the market demands more than the minimum wage for many jobs, then there is no problem and that is obviously the case.
I believe there's a medium in minimum wage that does't ruin businesses and puts money in the hands of people that are going to spend it. This helps the economy. Of course, if it is too much, then it creates unemployment.
Here in Brazil minimum wage has never been higher, and unemployment has never been lower, how do you explain that?
