@cube30xdarian not to much needs to be changed. The white one is all stock vw suspension. There is a book you can get that tells you how to build one. They are pretty easy to modify if your handy. I think the book is called "how to build a baja bug" or something similar.

i building one to travel up cape york Australia topend . how deep can a baja go in water?

@450hp202turbo you can submerge the motor if you have a sand seal on the crank...mine only has 13" of ground clearance. I have had it in 2ft deep water driving up river, I got wet inside but the car didnt miss a beat.

Bugs do surprisingly well. Just have to be careful with turning and braking as there is barely any weight on the front wheels.
