  • No worries, man. Thanks for watching and appreciating.

  • You did a good job with this video !! Thanx for the upload.

  • Very nice video, indeed... And this is me, trying to get near Fish

    IQUK0GO27h4

  • you did just great! I first thought it was marillion's work, the pics go so terribly good with the lyrics, I have tears in my eyes, I haven't heard this song for years and when I saw the pictures...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! you're very talented!

  • The pictures go well with what I was seeing in my head. Early marillion albums had some awesome tracks on them.

  • @pondguru to tell you the truth, my older brother christian was ( and always is) a big rock fan. I was 13 when I first heard marillion, with the great singer Fish, it xas in 1986, I loved all their songs, me mand my brother loved to listen 'till late at night to bruce springsteen, the cure, marillion, genesis ( the old albums with peter gabriel), pink floyd, manfred mann...while my sisters always listend to the top 10, we're from Belgium and I don't like french hits...

  • @pondguru than I discovered ather "ne" songwritters and great musicians like Lenn Kravitz, Feetwood mac ( the old blues song from the late '60s too) BUT I never, never heard a song from Marillion with the new singer, mayby I should, I'm scared to be disappointed, I loved his voice so much!

  • @lucrese1 ...i was 16 when i first heart marillion. The lp "script". Nothing greater than that!

Now, Marillion with their new singer Steve Hogarth, is very different. Although some great albums, I was always more or less dissappointed. But now, after so many years, i got to like them as much as i liked the "old" Marillion. If you really like symphonic rock (and i guess so - genesis, pink floyd and manfred mann) then listen to "Marbles". It's one of the best Marillion albums till now...have fun

  • brings it right home to me

  • @pondguru just remember for as long as you edits are your biggest prob you are fine as i for one could learn to edit in a flash but having something to edit and a reason to do it is more important and a dam site more impressive

long story short good job dude and keep it up as long as the song choice and vid content are this good who gives a dam about the edit as it will get better with time

  • Could have been a stuttering upload as normally there isn't the lag when my videos play. Who knows?

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it, man.

  • An excellent job you ´ve done. You were following your minds during listening this awful song of marillions high time.

So tell me, to where does it goes with human being, to where?????????????

  • To near extinction. That is the next logical step once the oil runs out.

  • Foty robią wrarzenie.

  • Agree with the sadness shown at 2:35

  • Excellent job with the video, appreciate the effort involved. A favourite Marillion song of mine and still as poignant today.

  • One of my worst editing jobs but it gets the message over.

    lol

Cracking song - I really should have done a video for the whole lot.

  • MINISTER MINISTER CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN!!!!!!! god bless those who fight ... and die for our freedom. for ever and ever....... amen.

  • anyway, rant over. Fantastic images, message, music. Thanks. Once A Gunner, Always A Gunner

  • Thanks for appreciating. I just wish I'd done a better job of editing. I tend to just make videos when the mood takes me and after listening to the Scipt for a Jesters Tear album, it took me.

  • @pondguru great video really thought through cheers mate

  • No worries, man.

  • Comment removed

  • I was a soldier in Enniskillen in the early '80s. I was also a rock fan (still am), when will people realise ......WAR IS SHIT........ We never fucking learn. It's June 2011 and it's all kicking off again. It never really went away. To see that murderous bastard Adams being treated with respect pisses me off big time. Blair apologising and now Cameron talking to Argies (was there as well) about Falklands makes my skin crawl. Thatcher had more balls than all of them put together.

  • Glad to hear from someone else who thinks the Iron Lady had a positive effect on the country. Today the prospect of being made to work for benefits appauls the human rights crowd.

"Shouldn't it be our right to sit on our arse and be paid for it?"

    No it bloody well should't.

  • almost 30 years later an they are still forgotten..........

  • 2:35 made me cry

  • Some of the early Marillion stuff was very descirptive and emotional.

A modern song that does it for me is "Bullet" by Clare Maguire - look it up - great lyrics and very powerful through noise cancelling headphones.

    Thanks for appreciating the upload.

  • Great song and some very powerful images. Marillion were an awsome band when Fish was with them. Forgotten Sons was about Northern Ireland`s troubles and the brave soldiers who lost their lives here. Their sacrifice and that of the RUC will never be forgotten. Heroes!

  • It is a great song. Since the lyrics are still relevant to what is going on around the world now, I thought I'd involve that in the (badly edited) video too.

    Thanks for watching.

  • thank you

  • No worries, man.

  • fish the best

  • Brilliant video here!!!

  • Thanks, man. I pulled all the images from the net and they seem to go quite well. My editing is a bit crap though............

  • thanks for the vid !! its still great, like this lyrics from marillion

greetings from a berliner who is fighting against hate and war

  • the man fish is a genius

  • Excellent vid. The first part sounds like the Borg from Star Trek. Or maybe they lifted the sound from this song?

  • It actually sounds more like a poem than a song. Very nice vid. The pictures match the lyrics very well - which makes it very bad, yet very good

  • The guy who wrote the lyrics for early Marillion songs is called Fish and hes a genius. You should check out 'Grendel' it is over 17 minutes of prog rock heaven.

  • pretty good mate, all pics were nice quality 5*

  • The love you withold, is the pain you carry. Humanity is at the 'mercy' of the Illuminati.

  • They pretty much run the show.

  • Well done. The music and the lyrics are 25 years old, but timeless.

  • The pictures jump about - which really bugs me. They were smooth before the finishing process on movie maker. Marillion are poorer without Fish's lyrical genius.
