Hey birkbill: In case you don't know it, Canada is among the first countries recovering from the recession. And, they have single payer health care. It works well. I know, my wife and I have both benefited from it. However, right wingers seem to think people in the U.S. are smarter than all other industrialized countries. LOL.

Actually, uninformed, we DONT want single payer healthcare. We want quality healthcare without beuracrats makeing decisions for us. Single payer expands costs and limits care. Find one example of Socialized medicine that works. Mass? Hawaii? France? Canada? Wrong, UK? Wrong, We have the best care in the world? Why people from Socialized Nations come here? They want to live, want to be seen by a Dr. not wait for 6 months. The sheep are still following the shepard over the edge of the cliff.

In 1993 polls indicated that some 70 percent of the people wanted single payer health care and now again we see that maybe 72 percent of the people want single payer health care. Obviously a clear majority of people want single payer health care. If we live in a representative democracy, why can't we have single payer? Oh, could it be corporate control? What kind of government do they call that? RFKjr says that's fascism.  Can this be??? What do we do then???

It is ridiculous to even imagine that those who are wealthy enough to afford it will no longer be able to buy what they want & when they want in health care.

Their current hyperexpensive group-death options will still be available.

What they really fear is that with a public option will come the release of technologies which eat into the sickness maintenance industry by providing the real cures which are known to exist & which are much cheaper.

They can keep THEIR economy to themselves
