Yes, they can. Each manufacturer lists its frequencies by channel in its operating manual. There are 22 frequencies\channels in every US FRS\GMRS radio. Each manufacturer uses the same frequency on each channel. Some manufacturers claim more than 22 channels. It is a marketing claim only. They still only use the 22 frequencies set aside by the FCC.
@GiantInternational Thanks for the reply. Since the privacy codes would be different from one brand to another I assume they would have to be turned off or set to 0, at least thats my understanding please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.
