  • i didn't need one cause i hung out with the ppl other people didn't want to hang around with and we made out own small group of computer geeks, comic geeks, semi anti social ppl, and pot heads

  • i agree, but ironically there should be a group for us not conformists.

  • Great Video! All these jokers who are distracted by the special effects are probably all Gunsmoke fans (trapped in the past)

You are one funny vlogger! The editing was hilarious - so much attention to detail. 5 stars and the farther away from normal vlogging you go, the more of a leader you will be until the end of time (2012)

    5 stars!

  • i find those damn effects soooo distracting from what ur sayin!

  • Cool video

  • Have been having the same problem....

  • Oh no... why did you upset me this time!?! (Jeez... I'm sorry if I have ever made you feel like that.... it's just so much.... ) I'll stop while I'm behind. :)

  • LOVED this vid, Heidi. You're surprised, I know, since I usually just hate your stuff ;‹D

  • Yes, but you screamed LOVED so I take it that much more seriously, no matter how bias you may be.... ;)

  • hehee!

    Have a great week, Heidi.

  • Questions

    1) do you have dog or a seal?

    2) New editing tools?

    3) What's for dinner?

    4) If you thought of me as an animal, what animal would I be?

    Love the thousands of rings.

    Rude

  • 1. Dogs who are trained seals. 2. No... just more time than usual. 3. Roadkill ofcourse (things don't change that much around here...;) 4. A walrus came to mind googoo a joob? I have no reason for this and don't know you well enough to peg you as an animal other than human, but at this instant, you are the walrus... goo goo a joob... ??? (I like my sterling rings. They make me happy... :)

  • Unfortunately we all belong to a group weather we like it or not...welcome to the human race.

  • I don't think it's fortunate or unfortunate. I actually believe in collective unconscious. The response however dealt with that that time in life or situation when small cliques are formed. That's what I have never been fond of... :)

  • But that is the way of life...being a floater was a click also, although you didn't all eat at the same table, or hang out in a group after school, you were still branded, if not by others, you were branded in your own mind as a floater which puts you in a category- alone in the woods.

  • Yes, but as you state "alone in the woods". (I posted a similar comment yesterday but it must not have 'taken'. )

  • Great effects - I really like this one.

  • Hey thanks! I need to go check you out... right now! :)

  • there will be def a response video to this as soon as i have time... great video...

  • Looking forward to it!

  • I was just thinking about you last night and how you used to take parts from my vids and comments and quote them. (I did this to another persons video...) I guess I was born with this? Never was taught or practiced. Dunno?! I remember being on my stomach in the grass as a little girl and watching the bugs and seeing that I was looking into their world that was enormous! I wondered who may be looking in on me... Thanks for that memory! I enjoy bugs in a forrest of moss... Have footage even!

  • I hate floaters! Recently I've gone through this posterior vitreous detachment and it's really messing with my vision---I mean, the whole time I was watching this video I kept getting all kinds of visual obstructions.

  • I can't watch it anymore myself. I am fearful some may get seizures... Now as far as floaters, are you talking poop, dead bodies or that type of person? (the other two were brought to my attention earlier...)

  • None of the above---perish the thought! I was referring to myodesopsia, a condition of the eye in which you perceive "floaters" in your field of vision.

  • Wow! Another floater arrives in the scene of this vid! I have enough info to now do a video on the different perceived types of floaters! Love it! :) Seriously great! -Heidi

  • hey you really said a lot there. and yeah, the rambling was totally offset with the video editing. no joking there, you pulled it off well. i'm amazed that you can live alone and be completely happy by yourself, while at the same time i'm wondering how i can live in a city and feel so lonely. i think you have a lot to teach people.

  • You really hit on an important topic. If I wanted to feel lonely just throw me on the street in NYC or Phili. To be anonymous is to live in the city... or so I have found. Also maybe a feeling of loneliness as you have no reason to be "alone" with all of the people that surround you. Quite a paradox! :)

  • The mountain laurels are in full bloom... got some footage today! :)

  • Well said Heidi. Justin :)

  • Heidi. Justin.? Would you really give that guy that much credit? (heeehee! Careful - can't you see what I can do to a person? Basketball brawl my ass... ;)

  • Thank Goodness I'm not alone in hating groups. And you hit the nail on the head with this new technology we share: "fear". I hate labels and stereotypes. On a side note, whatever editing program you are using - please let me know. I'll send money to your producers and hopefully they can hook me up ;) Loved this Heidi ... adored this! - John (Brilliant music at the end)

  • Of course, I have contracted the soon to be famous voodoou20two (or 22 depending on the mood) and basically paid a grand for the rest of the crew... ;) (just basic imovie and too much time?) Pleased you enjoyed!

  • Hello,Heidi.

Having an alien cicus in your house may be passable. They may be trying to be in your "group. A floater to me,would be a corpse "floating in a body of water,or stuck by roots in a stream.

    um,

    How's your stream doing???

  • I don't know. I hurt my knee. I have been hit with dead bodies and an English floater being, well, shit. :)

  • Funny video, especially the playful effect fireworks. A 'floater' strikes something odd :) Good to see you around!

  • So I have been alerted by englishandproud... and czar... Are you thinking dead body or fecal matter? (I will assume the latter after what I have learned today...)

  • Oh, heidi you put your video through the iMovie mangle and it's come out the other end all razzle dazzley!

you're not alone in the woods, trees are great company, they always have some hilarious anecdotes about moss and lichen.

  • Did it hurt your brain? (I'm far from being alone... did you get the pig yet?) *smile*

  • my pig wrestling days are over!

  • So sorry to hear about this... and you always did so well. I guess one knows when it's time to throw the towel in... ;)

  • Good Good Good!!!

  • Yep. I can't say anymore than the truth in the sidebar... :)

  • Here Here... College and other cliques dissolve as people outgrow the need for them... or so the research shows. ;)

  • I think the effects helped me understand you better. With out them I'd be lost. I think teachers should make video lectures with effects like this. : P

  • Alright! Very good... I went a bit overboard, but such is me. :)

  • can't get it to load :(

  • See.... Mercury is in retrograde!

  • wow great vid loved the sheep noises as you know were all sheep in one way or another .down with the new world order and yes 911 was an inside job 30% know it but only 30 people dare to say it out loud HEIL HITLER america needs to wake up and the rest of the world too its no joke anymore educate yourself people and stop watching ah wateva ....who am i kiddin just keep makin stupid comments

  • Keep on keeping on. Say what you need to when you can. Try not to bang your head against a wall too many times (I can show you my scars)... But all you can do is be true to yourself. Authentic behavior translates. Be well. :)

  • I loved this video, and I was very impressed by the special effects. So you used imovie? It was very impressive as advice and as presentational art. WOW!

  • Cool! Really glad to know it 2b! I thought it got a bit insane. I just messed with imovie yesterday and, well... I'm glad you liked it! :)

  • I'm actually going to do a video on "groups" today. It's going to be uber Ian Crossland-ish.

  • Ian... he wanted to camp here a week ago... huh. Need to get in touch with him. Love cult like behavior! (I'm one of k80blogs cronies... so I have been told. ;)

  • I'm pretty sure there is some alien activity going on here, I just can't work out if you have been abducted, or if you have abducted them!

Hmm, I was never good at the group thing, my 'group' at school was the oddballs who didn't fit in anywhere else and the floaters. And I've always tended to have just one best friend at a time-and don't spend a lot of time with them.

  • I'm very much a dyad type of person myself. :) Still have the same best friend since 5th grade. (The rest seem to come and go... or I seem to come and go as I float along.... ;)

  • In my experience floaters have a sense of their own identity which is a good thing. I don't like groups although I participate in them to some degree. (Pretty conflicted) I think stereotypes provide us with a point of reference which allows us to navigate through life, social connections etc... and should only be trusted with a raised eyebrow. If it weren't for your electric personality (sparks and lightning in vid)I would have stereotyped as that kookie chic that lives in the woods.

  • ;) Glad you know me a bit better than that, all though the "kookie chic in the woods" isn't an obsolete concept... When you first get into college, from the reading I have done and people I have spoken with, it is in peoples best interest to do as I advised. I personally don't understand, but I do my best to provide accurate information... while OD'ing on imovie. ;)

  • Our life is about moving from group to group....

  • Who says? I could really argue this point on many levels (not harsh argue... debate would be a better word... :)

  • even if i did´t understand the meaning of your message it´s a great peace of art you´ve created.

  • Thanks... it's a clustered mess that reeks of too much time due to an injured knee... At least it was enjoyable!

  • you´ve got an injured knee? best wishes for "revitalisierung"

  • Thank you. Sincerely. I'm not happily injured. (I did go for a short hike today!)

  • I think there's an alien in your house. I don't know if you are aware, but you have electricity coming out of you. I just thought I should tell you, just in case you weren't aware. You own sheep too??

  • It's an alien circus here... (crazy, eh?)

  • as you know, i love sound affects to relate to what im trying to relate in the video. this was great heidi. the bell for college, sheep for common flocking habits, the floating space sounds for floating, etc etc. i loved it! peace ben.

  • Thanks Ben! You have been working with affects much longer than myself. I just started playing with the sound (sheep was a must) and it went from there. :)

  • Take your pills and get some rest Heidi.

  • I'll take some pills but no rest needed... ;)

  • I can't force myself to watch it again. I fear it may cause some to have seizures. (Should have put a disclosure...;)

  • Hahahaha! You remind me of the guru Gurdjieff who once in a crowded bar whispered his teachings to his follower Ouspensky. I used all my attention muscles, but then then I could hear what you were saying. Hey you floater, take a dip in the stream when you're hot! Peace and love!

  • My muscles hurt as well... :) Thanks for the kind words. I was moving rocks today and now some rumbling is going on so no creek... But a cool shower will work just as well. It's been a wonderful day. :)

  • That's all I heard in the end. Overkill anyone?

  • I was playing and couldn't stop. I promise a less flashy vlog soon. :)

  • Fantastic effects, and interesting, considering the video I made the other day. I did send it to you, but I'll attach it here, seems apt, though it had an agenda all its own. As you know I too am an individual and more than happy with that. I fit because I don't need to fit. Good to see you.

  • I like "consistently inconsistent" personally. Again - don't know what was going on in the atmosphere, but you video stands alone and it's an honor to have it attached here... and it seems to fit quite nicely! :)

  • Consistantly inconsistant sounds about right, or possibly inconsistantly consistant. :) Yes, I thought it fit, hence its attachement. Honour. lol :P

  • Honor/ Honour... Floater / 'Floater'... blowing them off / 'blowing them off'... it's amazing what an ocean can do... :)

  • lol I wasn't correcting your spelling, It made me smile you thought it was an honor/honour I should attach a video. I am honoured you are honored. Hehe

  • I know you weren't correcting... but this was the third example of contradictions pointed out to me from US to Europe.... thought it was funny. :)

  • I was hungry... (a really long story... ;)

  • The term "floater" has another meaning over this side of the pond, trust me when I say you're not a floater. lol

Good to see you back! :o)

  • Oh no! Just tell me now. (Crap! My friend Richard has told me I shouldn't talk about blowing people off... Damn Englishmen. ;)

  • A "floater" is a turd that floats around in the toilet pan no matter how many times you flush. A "depth charge" is one that sinks to the bottom and wont budge even after multiple flushes.

I'll have to do a "English for Americans" video one day. ;o)

  • This man speaks truth.

  • He's wonderful! And truthful and knows Chinese Astrology. Top that! ;)

  • You may think i'm wonderful now, but wait until the next time I barrage you with questions.... mwahahahahaaaaa.... ;o)

  • Again she says "Bring It!" (okay... I'm talking third person...)

  • must you add all that effect ????

  • No. (it was overkill... I almost posted the original. Too late.)

  • Hi, Heidi

I was the same way in school. I was friends with geeks, nerds, jocks, loners, etc. I've never been a part of a pack, except the one I have created with my husband and children.

That being said, I think everyone fits within a stereotype. The question is, what is yours? Mine changes day by day, depending on circumstances and my mood.

  • I agree. Until a dyad is formed, I'm not sure if I will really know my stereotype. I don't know many people like me... and I also know everyone like me. (Does this make sense?)

  • yep. very cool.

  • Wow. Thanks! :)

  • I have to watch this again to actually hear what you said... I was too into the video & audio effects... lol

What do you use for editing? :)

  • Too much time and imovie. ;)

  • I too was always a floater. The fog and the sheep was the best. Or were those goats?

  • I don't know. It was a smoked out zoo in this cabin yesterday... ;)

  • The monkeys did me in.

  • Glad To see Your Back. Peace :)

  • Glad to see a version of myself is back... (hey, thanks for caring. :)

  • A Version? any version i see I'm happy with But Floater Is a word i don't like maybe its the city thing "we pulled a floater out of the Bay today". They are the people who jump off bridges. I like Loner its the "Dangerous Group" of people that Think to Much. Seek in life to Balance not to float. HeHeHe

    Take Care :)

  • "floater" I have been informed by another user is shit in a toilet in other parts of the world... go figure. :P

  • Very well stated; however, do you feel as a staunch individualist any connection to your universe whatsoever? I've lived my life a loner but for some reason I'm drawn to the Utubia community of individuals, equals and unity.

  • I very much feel connected on a universal level to all beings... from people to moss. Nature is what feeds this feeling for me. :)

  • This might be the LSD talking but I really enjoyed this.

  • LOL And how are you? Hope to catch up with you soon...

  • Im moving back up to bellevue with a much clearer conscience since I firststarted sending drunken videos to you. Especially more since my bad spring break experience. I do find that most women under the age of 23 are a big waste of time. It's like they are inept to intelligence. "I like went and saw this movie, becky is a whore, and this guy is really hot!" huh? Thoughts to words. What doyou think? Forget it. Lets focus on what's important. What's you're favorite pastry to go with your coffee?

  • You're adorable. I can honestly say that I was a waste of my own time until I was around 30... and I didn't get into the 'trite' aspects I hear you encounter. I spoke with someone who is well informed on this issue and also said that recently many articles have been coming out with the challenges specific to people returning from service and then going into a college setting... maybe google it?

  • More like "You're adorable, but I think I'm going to talk to this guy over here..." I can feel your apathy, bitch!

Returning from service, like the military? Shits gonna hit the fan whenever they decide to send everyone home. I'm sure the post war support groups at colleges will be packed full... then of course it will cost ass loads to give all the soldiers medical and educational benefits. We'll see.

Thanks again Heidi. You've been more helpful than you know.

  • Sadly, I don't think the US will cough up the funds... at least they have been doing a shit job for years. (Yeah - I was talking about the military). Nice call on the bitch, although seriously - I was a disaster. Still am. I date younger guys but... jeez I'm feeling old now!

  • I think that you see the advantage to dating younger guys.

I've been seeing this older woman. When she calls and wants me to see her, I don't hesitate.:)

  • The devil's candy! ;)

  • I've talked about this (in a lot less entertaining, and uncomfortably serious, vid) a while back. FTR I found your take much more entertaining and drama free.

  • I found it overdone. Should have left it with just the sarcastic sound affects. (Could you PM reference the vid? Sorry to bother but I haven't been around much...)

  • Is that a seal in the background?? lol

  • It was a freaking circus in here...

  • ¥T¥ Is For Everyone.

  • Good to see you back around.

  • OUCH! My ADHD!

    Since I posted the video:

. Made friends in a philosophy club

    . hardly ever drink

. Made other friends, that I can't really categorize. They might just "stick around."

. found my proper dose of medication, not so wired, almost no social anxiety. Better in school.

    . ...and I pulled my v-card, legitimately. :)

You're so sweet Heidi. I'm still learning about myself, you have been very helpful. Maybe someday, we will have a drink... what would you like for breakfast?

  • I thought I responded to this comment! I know I did. I asked what a v-card was... along with many other responses. Sorry you didn't get it sooner and I'm really glad you liked it... even though it hurt your brain. (It hurts mine as well... ;)

  • And I thought I responded to your response. Fuckin youtube.

    My virginity died.

  • I'd like a requiem... Grants Virginity RIP

    July 1986 - May 2008

  • Well christ, combo breaker. How duz i werk youtube?

  • How duz you talk like dis?

  • This is a beautiful thread... :)

  • Big news! Unpaid for? ;)

  • Yes, yes... it was open source consensual sex.

    ...1

  • ...2

  • ...3!

    Where is your god now?

  • God or did you mean dog? ;)

  • ...where is your dog now? Now that you're back on the interbutts you're probably being negledgeable to its needs.

  • My dog(s) are terribly spoiled... but I do believe in them ;)

  • groups are fun when it cums to parties. lol

  • Different kind of group fun... ;)

  • You're alive!!!!!!!!! WHEEEEWW!!!!!

I thought Bitch Crick wash you away while you were washing your clothes!!!!

    Oh what a relief!!!

The critters around you house would have missed you!!!

But your a floater and you will survive!!!!

    levee & breaks ~:^0

  • It got hot. I don't like the heat. & my return button is sticking again... and I sound whiny. Hi!

  • Do you ever eat with chopsticks?

So you say your hot do ya?? Can you take a dip in Bitch Crick??

Does your house have two stories?

In the past i have always gone out when its hot and try to do something I enjoy to get my body used to the heat. Kayaking akways works for me. But I have trained myself to drink every ten minutes or so. I got this from mountain biking. Hi!

    horned & toad

  • No return key... chopsticks, absolutely. How else would I pick up my sushi to dip in my soy/wasabi mixture? House has 3 stories if you include the loft... which is where I spend most of my time. Way to big for me and hard to heat with the stove. I'm thinking about a kayak for my birthday. That or new software. I'm trying to save from the adds money for final cut... Good job on your water intake! Impressive! cold frond cam through... currently 68 outside! 55 last night. Beauteous!

  • No receipt No RETURN!!!

Sushi from Bitch Crick!!!!! Yummy Yum Yum!!!

Multi storied houses have a great natural heating and cooling. Winter upstairs for heat and summer downstairs for cool temps. Hmmm. A kayak or software. What a choice. It would be fun to be able to use a green screen for videos!!! What kind of kayak are you thinking of? Sea or river kayak?

    river & otter ~:^)

  • Well now... what kind of kayak. I think river? Only since I want to be able to paddle around the creeks. You tell me - what can I get to start with? I'm short... would be carrying it a bit... If I stay with it I'll upgrade. I could go to a near by body of water and really get into it one the summer 'crowds' have gone and by then I figure a sea kayak... right now I want to paddle and fish and not bottom out (but realize I will so factor that in the cost...) You asked!

  • After reading your comment I think the best kind of kayak for you would be a recreational kayak. And the one I really like is the "Zydeco" made by Dagger. It tracks real straight and you can paddle it on the river or smooth water. The price is only $350.00. It weighs just 38 pounds at 9' long. I've paddled one both on the river and lakes around here and I was pleasingly surprised by it's performance. Hopefully there is a store nearby for you!! ~:^)

  • Many stores and I support local business. I'll check in with him this Thursday and get back to you. Live & Learn :)

  • How far away are you from Blanchard Lake??

And how long is that lake???

Beck lake is 24 miles from me and is only 1/2 a mile long. But it's got lots of birds and critters and is great for doing laps!!

  • Hey Heidi,

Its great to see you back. I love your video's and was happy to come home and see a new video posted by you.

  • Did you ask him if he wanted to get laid? lol

  • Um... well I think that 'may' be his ultimate goal. I suppose I should have said girlfriend... ;)

  • "learn to math" .... I like that. :)

  • You love it.
