Thats a good question and I have several reasons but here's one of the most important. The fact is very few people examine african nations individually especially their militaries. Most people when they make analysis etc or are arguing about an event in africa will automatically go "United States of Africa" etc or "the colonists" etc but we must remember it has been years since then and that these states exist and must be known individually this video is the ultimate expression of my wantforsuch

@aditataran Those militateries are under-funded and poorley equiped. Wiki is probebly the best free source on the internet. Of coarse there is Janes studies but that will cost you. I am sure there will be a few books. Some classified documents lol but unless you are stealing frm the US, I wouldnt bother. You would get arrested, not like the US.
@giggimax Yes comparing is a good way of doing it but I would do it with more European armies who have the African nations take their structures from them. For example smallish armies based on eliteness. Or just simply the way they are organised like for example the best navies in africa (excluding S.Africa and N.Africa) has to be Kenya, Nigeria and at the moment probebly Ghana. All three have similar structures and all three are old British colonies. So compare them with Britain.
