Nissan should have won in 1990, the cars were clearly the fastest in the field, just not the most reliable.

same thing with this year's 12 hours of Sebring. The Peugeots were a lot faster than the Audis, but the R10s won with reliability, as every Le mans race is won with.

yaa i agree with you man, the r90's were clearly the best car no doubt! I wish Mercedes werent protesting le mans that year cause the r90ck and c11 would have been a sick battle for 1990 le mans! and the C11's should have won 1991 cause they were clearly faster there than anyone else.

The problem was the Nissans were more worried about beating each other than the rest of the competition, hence any problem that cropped up for one team was unknown to the others.
