  • sounds stange.... hit the Arame near the Sting of the Cabasa.. the sound is mor clear.... and give your Body more rythm... moving your Body when your playing the Berimbau... it looks like work not like fun.... feel the rythm and go with it... but fore two jears training its sounds good... go on dude... what is the name of your group?...

  • something to help you clean up your sound is to play closer to the dobrao or string depending on whether you're playing a closed or open note, respectively. There's a 2-inch rule when playing the berimbau. To get the best sound, you want to strike the vaqueta (stick) on the arame (wire) as close to the object producing tension in the arame as possible. In this case, it's either the dobrao or the string to your cabeca (gourd). Cheers and happy practicing.
