Trevor Rabin is better than John Williams. The One, the National Treasure flicks and Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life had memorable scores. I always thought the Star Wars soundtrack was repetitive and overated. I must admit, though, that the Terminator theme is chilling.

Actually, I do know a lot about film music, and most of the music I listen to is of the epic, orchestral variety. I have heard most of his hits and the only ones I find memorable are the Terminator theme and the SW I and III theme. The rest is good, but I wouldn't listen to it on my mp3. The best composers out there are Immediate Music, E.S. Posthumus, and X-Ray Dog. I like TR more and who the hell are you to dictate what I can and can't like artard?

The Terminator music was created by Brad Fiedel. Credit where credit is due. ;)

As for better, obviously it's all down to opinion. On a technical scale Williams is far better, he scores his movies with the same sensibilities as classical composers who only wrote music for the music itself. So from a technical standpoint Williams scores are more advanced and diverse. But when you make such a generalized statement some people will challenge it, potentially with other criteria than you used. ;)
