Hong Kong cinema is all about looks. It usually casts good looking people to attract an audience. People like Tony Leung, Andy Lau and Chow Yun-Fat are the only beautiful people who can really act. People like Leon Lai, Aaron Wok, Jackie Cheung, etc. are in films because, to the Hong Kong people, they are good looking. They may be good at singing, who know, but they are terrible at acting.

IMHO, Tony Leung is better than Andy Lau. He's versatile as an actor and always appears humble too. I respect him as an Actor first than his looks.
