I advise looking into GIF Movie Gear.

You can use it to easily make banners etc. for websites.

I might make a tutorial on it if you dont beat me there XD

Basically all you do is create a frame in GIMP, PS etc. and copy merge and paste it into GMG. It is quite a tedious process as you have to do each frame individually but its quite cool.
