Just bought this game today, got RaceOn, Race 07 and STCC the Game for $20, and I'm not dissapointed. I use my DFGT with it and it feels really great and precise to drive with. Just wish the FF was better on the DFGT, but hey, I can get 3 DFGTs for the price of one G25 :p

@soul516 You should spend some time tweaking the ff both in game and in the logitech control panel, it takes some time to figure out the right settings. I have the same wheel btw.

I actually have two more gears so I could take one on a long course.. Those things are 4 speeds.

The actual Camaro Cup cars are tubular spaceframe chassis, they wouldn't resemble a street car very much.

@89camarocragerSS Thats a great question. You can drive the IROC in Forza 3. For the PC, I don't know of a quality IROC mod.. I used to own an 87 IROC and an 85 Z28. Thanks for the compliments on my 97!

@citydriver camaros actually have a more similar race chassis than most street cars...with a few modifications they can become a beast, just being a live axle they have to leave a little to be desired from the dealership or the average person would have trouble controlling it.

They have to upgrade that graphics engine man, I mean it looks good but outdated, it barely looks like a DirectX 9 game (almost like DX8 or something) and specially there seems to be absolutely NO lightning effects, no sun...nothing in what I have tried with Race 07 and GTR 2, the roads also don't seem to be very detailed, I've seen better road details on GT4 which is on the PS2 and came out in 2004.

Also, I think many cars handle almost the same way, as if many of them had the same weight and all which I know is not true at all...specially when trying European cars and then trying American cars which are known to be extremely light and sometimes unstable (Ford, Chevrolet etc) yet both European and American cars handle almost the same, the Formula cars though seem to be almost pretty spot-on though as I mentioned before many of them sound TOO similar...

I own Race 07, the problem with most SinBin games seems to be the sounds of the car engines, they seem to be inaccurate and many of them sound almost the same, I'm no expert but I recognize a lot of sounds from those kinds of cars, I've been to many races before (not the crappy Nascar though) and I know, and I'm also a Gran Turismo fan (both the real thing and the video game series), I think they didn't research so much in that department, maybe not enough budget...

I actually LOVE this STCC pack.  Not many games have Volvos in them, but this one gives me the fun of driving a small FWD car on a short track that is actually quite demanding.

Amazing... years of development, and none to the physics...

Live for speed takes this game by far, starts with the fact that its physics doesnt feel so choppy. Merged with CSR external sound implement, and some simple bloom effect and you get A game that's easly takes all simbin products all togather. Sometimes I play GTR2 but I always return to LFS.

I have been playing LFS for two years now, the physics in the little cars is pretty good, even the small single seaters, but when it comes the the bigger cars and the F1 Souber, LFS is way off. If you want to have some quick fun live for speed is fine, but to get realistic physics from touring cars, you are best off looking elsewhere because live for speed's touring cars handle like marshmallows. Not to mention the fact that a good racing sim uses REAL cars and REAL tracks, LFS has neither.

never driven one of course, but it feels like you would expect.

the FZR handles great, don't know what's the problem with them.

The last edition of STCC game has got one of the best graphics back then not to mention car line up, but poor AI.That was way back in 2000! That does bring back some memories.

Would prefer the new STCC over Race 07 - mainly for the variety of cars (the touring cars).The Incognito- well, might as well they just exclude that car! Like a fictional car. Shame.

Jessica Lopez - a hot chick (with nice asset) who likes car racing stuff, now that's really turn the lights on!

BMS Incognito is wordplay of MB (Mercedes-Benz). Benz-MercedeS Incognito. It's the Mercedes, just different name and other very slight details. Seeing as it's supposed to be there, I'm sure most will appreciate having it, even if the name is a bit off. :)

Also note that there are new sound effects for crashing, rubbing, bottoming out, and most importantly - the tire noise is completely overhauled. All of them far better and immersive than Race 07 - and for all cars.

The force feedback model has also been rehauled a bit. It doesn't tug as badly when going on or beyond the limit of the grip tires when turning, and the effects of the car not wanting to go completely straight is also different.
