I have a fan down in the shed that the motor's mounted to the grille and it keeps falling apart. As soon as I find it I will make a video of it and post it. I think the rubber bushings are gone on the grille. I have a bunch of those really old fans in the shed I might be selling. If I decide to sell them would you be interested in them? I hate to give up the hobby but I am getting way too busy with other things I just don't have the time for it anymore.
@BoxFanWillie Actually to tell you the truyh im pretty much in the same shoes you are, not to mention i need the money for other things. However i do appreciate the offer but im gonna pass. There are plenty of other people who im sure would lobr to purchase them. For the most part if i find something for cheap and close ill take up the offer.
Are you selling this fan? If so how much? Do you refurbish fans? I have one that is an old General Electric Box Fan that needs some fixing up but it still runs smooth and quiet.
I have a Lasko with the exact same grill/motor mount on the rear. Mine has four blades. How did you repair yours? Mine has four mounts using rubber spacers that looks like the assembly was glued to the fan shrowd. There are no screws.
Very nice fan, I like the handle! I guess the fact that the motor is attached to the back grill may make it easier to clean but is not quite as stable as it it were seperately attached...The shipping address may be to the dealer which sold it.
Yes actually it would be more difficult come to think of it...I was thinking you could easily remove the whole blade/motor assembly from the cabinet but as far as actually cleaning the motor it would be harder.

No, I am not selling it, and yes I do refurbish fans, but new old fans have been getting harder to come by now that everyone is getting into it.

I think I remember this fan. When I was 5 my dad use to have an old non working fan that looked like this. It didn't have grills though.

having it on the grille is harder for me to clean, and i modified the grille so it works good.
