As long as the engine can breathe and the engine computer(usually inside the cabin) stays dry the engine will run. Stay in long enough you'll contaminate your fuel supply. You'd be surprised how well designed the intake systems are. To not pull in water and hydro-lock the engine is amazing. Ford makes a good truck. Unfortunately, the rust is an issue. Wouldn't want to buy that truck used.
