Huh? This song makes total sense. More than most songs written these days. Look up the lyrics.

They were writing actual songs, stories about things, during a time when everyone was imitating Nirvana's 'random hidden-meaning lyrics' style. Nowadays the closest big band to them is the Decemberists, but Primus sounded a lot better.

I know there's allot of people out there who just throw Primus off as a joke and don't take them seriously at all, but I think this is one of the best songs about the poor and forlorn immigrants experience in America ever written! It's a very raw and honest portrayal that really talks about peoples miserable and ugly lives and shows how the U.S. really is for the poor. The last verse is powerful and I love the ending very dramatic. Excellent job Primus! Les Claypool Kicks Ass!
