All it's doing is selecting an area on the screen with static colours that can be distorted the exact same way as distorting an image on Photoshop. Knowing the colours of the selected surface, each time a video frame contains something passing over the surface, it does not write video data on those pixels (A person walking past the wall). It's nothing ingenious...

It would take me about 5 months to write a program like this, how many people worked on it and how long has it took? what equipment was used to develop it ?. And what would be the purpus of this besides sneeking more Ads on to videos?. Oh and where's the educational value?. Have all the "Brains" (Smart People) become involved in advertising? Are they lacking motivation or inspiration? Should Education be free to give and free to receive? Am I asking too many questions? And finaly am I not funny?

It depends of the intended application. The engineer mentioned Google ads. Just think of how beneficial that has been. Google adwords and adsense helps me pay for college.

People harbor negative association with advertisements in general, but ads are a significant aspect of our life.

Advertisements are fundamental. Like everything else, it evolves. But this project is not strictly advertisement oriented. Such a concept has numerous applications in business, entertainment, media, and more.

what i meant was not about the type of device ..but how it is used. I thought since it uses difference between frames it wont work when the camera is used hand held (as compared to on a tripod). but since you say it has been tested with any camera motion. bravo!

absolutely. It can work with any kind of camera and any kind of camera motions. It has been tested on a range of cameras from cell phone cameras --> professional movie house cameras.

In fact this video has been shot with a hand held device.

This is great and all, but I don't want to see a bunch of kids jamming advertisements in their crappy YouTube videos just so they can make a couple of bucks. People are sick of being bombarded by advertisements. You are only making this problem worse.
