  • good point... I guess you just need to be a little creative...

  • seems rather pointless to me. I cant imagine, that the hearting and cooling of the two water containers uses less energy than the motor produces. the only environment where I see this beeing usefull would be outerspaceo or on the moon and on planets with extreme environment...

so yeah. ok. maybe it isnt pointless :-D

  • @FKeel1 now that i think about it, it can be used on next to hot water springs and vulcanos. using the free hot water and redirecting some fresh water from a river. instant free enviromental friendly energy

  • It's using Nitinol wire or 'memory wire'. The wire can be formed into many shapes. When the wire is cold it is in one state and can be moved around...when heated it goes back to it's 'memory' shape and tightens up. In this case the wire is going through the pulleys from the cold side with the ice to the side with the hot water. It goes back to it's 'memory' shape very quickly hence the turning of the pulleys and the water splashing. Search for Nitinol Wire for more info.

  • I like the rpm of this thing in relation to the poor efficiency this build must have!

Can somebody tell me more about it? What principle is it using? Expansion and contraction?

  • english translation please

  • Who the fuck rated this 1? This is badass!

  • amazing stuff!
