  • Aligato!!! eXCELLENT WORK§§§

  • A nice video to go with a very nice voice. I have been a Patti Page fan since 1950.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Born in 1945. Grew up with this and Doris Day. Still great after all these years. Good music lasts forever if it's Patti or Ozzie.

  • i like skeeters version better... this one sounds way too happy... ruins the whole mood...

  • I like her version better then Skeeters..

  • This song is awesome *.*

  • ...Patti Page lives in the beautiful enchanted community of

    Rancho Santa Fe,Ca...San Diego county...!

  • thumb up if you are 19 and you like this song :)

  • Found this record for 50 cents, best find I made that day

  • i miss my mom it's her fave......

  • Some people can learn of life from the wisdom of good music. Take care ADonovan43.

  • Every song Patti Page sings is a masterpiece for us. I love this beautiful melody

    along with her captivating voice.

  • beautiful voice ...first thought was Doris Day.... now i need to go thru Patti Pages songs ...thank you for sharing ...End of the World seems to be my song

  • Her voice pours out like honey, sweet and smooth. Uncomparable style, a natural gift from god. Thank you for the download.

  • Here it is 5:00 A.M. and I can't sleep. I am listening to songs from my youth and thinking of lost loves. Times seemed so much better then.

  • I love her beautiful voice.

I think she is my mother . from Tokyo.

  • Me too. Thanks for your nice comment !

  • @msn98y I have Patti's CD and I have never heard her song. But Classic nice song

is forever. Her very sad voice and melody and lyrics hitted my heart. Now I listen to

Lady Gaga so more. But sometime , I want to enjoy the classic like Brenda Lee,

Connie Francis. I was born and raised downtown Tokyo. I have been listenning music from 1970. I have heard the American Rock music in 1980's time. Thank you for your comment. Have a nice beautiful life★♪~ from Tokyo.

  • My pleasure. Thanks again!

  • ....and the connection between the video and the song is....?

  • Well, nothing in particular... :))

  • love this song.. beautiful..

  • my favorite song...thanks!

  • Love this lady and her songs!

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • I happen to live in Akashi, thank you for spreading the news!

Yeah, many things still remain the same, like the french say: Plus ça change, plus ça reste..!

Great version too, Patti is one of the all time greats..!

  • Oh, you live in Akashi? This museum is my favorite, and I like this song very much! I'm very glad you visited the museum. Thanks for your comment.

  • @msn98y

Yeah, been here for 25 years and counting..!

Thanks for the song... will listen to it until the end... of the world, haha..! Didn't know Patti sang it, bye Skeeter..!

    Cheers

  • Wow, more than 25 years? I think you're just like Japanese. :)) There are various versions of this song indeed, but I like Patti's one best. Thanks!

  • @msn98y Buddy, I'm not not even remotely like the japanese and never will be. I do play japanese music when the mood strikes me, like shakuhachi and stuff.

    Keep up the great work!

  • Oh, I see. And you play shakuhachi? You're great! It's difficult even for Japanese to play the instrument well. Thanks again.

  • Playing an instrument is a state of mind, you've got to get into it, bit by bit. So much for japanese uniqueness..! Basically we all have the same possibilities, until you find them and use them. Shakuhachi is good for meditation too, alpha waves anyone?

    Thanks for all your effort..!

  • My pleasure. Thanks a lot.

  • I feel snuggly and comfortable everytime I hear her voice

  • I also feel so. Thanks!

  • beautiful vocal tone

  • Thanks for your comment !

  • This is a pretty song, sung well by Patti Page here. Skeeter Davis was the first version, and then my secret girlfriend Karen Carpenter provided me with my favorite version. Thanks for sharing.

  • I've never heard Carpenters' version, but their Top Of The World is my favorite. I liked Karen Carpenter too. :)) Her sudden death was very regrettable...I was greatly shocked to hear the news then. Thanks for your comment.

  • Too one of the greatest female vocalists of her time!!

I never forget her unbelievable HUSH HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE!

  • I like her Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte too. The song is also on my channel. :)) Thanks!

  • Neither I didn't. Until now I had listened to this song performed by Nancy Sinatra only. I love this song.

  • Oh, Nancy Sinatra is a great singer, but I've never listened to her version. It's quite the opposite of you. :)) Thanks for your comment.

  • wow, i didn't know that she sing this too

  • Oh, really? This is one of the most popular songs of hers and my favorite. Thanks!

  • I normally hear Skeeter Davis' version playing in radio

  • I know what you mean. Of course, Skeeter Davis' version is the original indeed. But I prefer this Patti Page's one.

  • Yes, certainly Patti Page is a wonderful singer, I like her songs to. Like "Music And Memories"

  • Thanks a lot !

  • nante, natukashii zyanaa!

  • What a beautiful song it brings back memories of my Mom God bless her sould She could belt it out just like Patti. I wonder if Jonie James ever did this.

  • Oh, I like Joni James too. Thanks for your comment.

  • This is a very nice song and video. Thanks.

  • Thank you very much. I like this song too.

  • Patti is the personification of class

  • I also think so. Thanks for your comment.

  • nice song

  • Thanks for your comment !

  • Hey, I was in my Freshman Year when this song came out. Our handsome neighbour Jessie sang this. And he did not know that I remember the program that his class performed on that weekend. And No, he was not my crush. At that time, my nose was dripping. So I don't think he would take interest to a toddler like me anyway. haha.

  • Thanks for your comment. It's a funny joke !

  • Thanks very much. I like this version of the song so much.

  • Thank you very much for your comment !

  • BTW, I'm a 45 year old classic rock guitar player, but my appreciation for music is vast.

I love ABBA and AC/DC, Frank Zappa and Frank Sinatra.

I don't like Rap or drippy "tear in my beer" Country songs.

But songs like this are timeless and endure because the have mass appeal.

Everyone has lost someone at some point in time.

And everyone feels alone at least once in their life. (some more than others)

  • Thanks again for your comment. I like ABBA,too. When I was young,I used to listen to their music, for example,Dancing Queen,Chiquitita,Fernando and so on.

Of course,I also like Patti Page. As you say,her songs like this surely seem to be timeless and permanent.

My favorite fields of music are especially pop, ballade and chanson.

Nowadays I often listen to the songs of Mireille Mathieu. I think that she is one of great singers in France.

  • i love this song

    thanks!

  • Thank you very much for your comment!
