Well I got my ARC-170 and built it today, and I must say I wasnt impressed. The minikits I got, and the other easykits I have got were much better. This has gaps where it doesnt fit together properly, many badly aligned parts, and just general cheapness.
It is also nothing like the same scale as the jedi starfighters I have. I was hoping it would be at least close to the same, so I could have them in a display together. The starfighters are almost as big as the ARC-170. They should be half that
@w0bbl3r I believe i had seen a smaller version of the ARC-170 Starfighter not too long ago, probably might be worth looking up if you have a moment to look it up.
@doctorwhoone In the exact same revell easykit line?
I have only seen the one I bought. I must admit I was a little dubious when it was the same cost as the jedi starfighters I bought, when the ARC-170 is much bigger than them, but for the price I thought what the hell.
When I was building it, I again thought (in a very different way) WHAT THE HELL?
Not a good kit, sorry to say.
Thanks for the info, I will check and see if there is a different size kit out there right now.
@w0bbl3r I might have been mistaken when i said i thought i'd seen a small version of the ARC-170 Starfighter, might have confused it with the smaller X-Wing, my mind sometimes plays tricks on me, happens to all of us every now and then.
@doctorwhoone Just checked the revell site (all in german, not great to find your way around), and can only find one easykit, and one easykit pocket for the arc-170.
Judging from the sizes, and the sizes it says the original ships are supposed to be, it looks like even the pocket kits of the jedi starfighters would be too big, just by a little.
I am currently waiting for my ARC-170 easy kit, and I already have both jedi starfighters from rots. Are they all scaled to each other correctly? I want to get this, and then get a couple of X-wings and tie fighters, have a big flying display of them, but only if they are all to the same scale. Its hard to tell from the specs. I measured the specs of the falcon and x-wings, and it seems about right, but until you see them next to each other its hard to tell for sure.
@w0bbl3r All easy Kits vary in size, normally if they have Pilots with them then you can compare the size of the Pilots.
The Falcon i reviewed on this Video goes in scale with the smaller X-Wing and TIE Interceptor Easy Kits, and possible the Naboo Royal Starfighter and Episode II Jedi Starfighter Easy Kits as well.
@doctorwhoone Thanks. Not bothered about putting prequel kits with sequel kits. I want my X-wings to go with tie fighter and falcon kits, and I will get vulture droids and tri fighters for my jedi starfighters and arc-170s. Thats the best way. I do the same with my lego star wars kits (I LOVE lego star wars), keeping prequel kits together and sequel kits together.
So for now as long as the falcon and x--wings are in scale that will do me.
I just bought the Revell easy kit X-Wing. It really is a easy kit, but really fun to do. I mainly do military models, but had to stear away for a bit to take a break. I need to find more of these Revell easy kits. Awesome review. Thumbs up!
Thank you very much . Ive had this Airfix Spit-Fire Model since Christmas last Year and i still havint built the bloody thing . Annoyingly , it doesint come with any Decals which should be included . I guess i could just paint the Model and then attempt to paint what the Decals look like i guess .
@doctorwhoone I ran into a similiar problem with my Revell P-51 Mustang. It didn't have decalls so I watched movies, and looked on google for images. Took some painters tape, and drew out the decal. Then cut it out, and taped the "template/decal" to the body, and sprayed it.
i just came back from newquay, cornwall today and there is this model shop there where you can the star wars revell easykits cheap as out!i recommend you go there some time,it'll be a long time before i go there again cause i live in newcastle!
New Cornwall's along way away from where i live so it would be a waste of time , but i know afew good shops round my area that sell the Star Wars Easy Kits so i'll stick with thme thanks .
Oh my god, I go to Newquay every year for my holidays. I stay in Crantock, near Newquay if you know of it. Which model shop is it you're talking about because I've never seen it.
I am one of those Starwars fans out there, but I'm not going to buy the kit, because I suck at it, easiest is mispelled as hardest in my brain, awesome review though.
Easy Kits are different to ordinary kits , theres no Glue or Paint required , and the instructions are fairly simple . If you watch my Tie Interceptor review which im uploading tomorrow morning , you'll see the intructions shown by me on that model to show how simple it is , it might change your mind .
Yep , those are my Red Dwarf DVD's , including the game Red Dwarf - Beat the Geek which i dont think showed up on the Video depending on where the Camera was pointing when i was filming it .
that was brilliant, how long did it take to put together?do they have any other star war ships to put togather?10/10☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆.best wishes justin
The Falcon took 2 hours to build , which for me included very sore fingers and alot of swearing . Other such models made by Revell for there Eaky Kit range include X-Wing , Y-Wing , Vaders Tie Fighter , Slave 1 , and afew others , if you go onto Google in Images , type in Revell Easy Kit Star Wars and images of the various models should appear .
AWSOME REVIEW I LOOVE THAT SHIP,DID THE FALCON COME WITH a clone trooper
becouse i saw something in a shop in blackpool town becouse i live in blackpool
i went in a store called toymaster and i saw a bug ship wich looks a lot like this, and it came with a clone trooper or something,i really liked it but it was 120 pounds,so obviously i couldent get it
Nope , there is no Clone Trooper at all , the only figures with the model are Chewie and Han as seen in this review and on the Box cover , and you cant remove them either cos the Cockpit cant be opened up for you to remove them if you wanted too .
I dont know what you mean by Photo , but the Millennium Falcon isint a Toy thou i admit i have played with it abit as if it was a toy but no it is a Model , if your talking about the Box it does feature a large image of the model yes . Thanks for watching .
i don't no as much star wars stuff as you or as bigger fan, as i am doctor who , but i did enjoy the review, well done, you sertainly know what you are talking about. 10/10
Thanks for watching Phil , some of the DVD's are actually games called Star Wraith 2 and Tom Baker's Ultimate Sci-Fi Quiz , still Episode IV A New Hope is also my favorite of the original films , while Episode III Revenge of the Sith has to be the best of the Prequals .
hhmmm. its odd. thats the way i seem to imagine youre voice. heh heh. im a thinker. nice room. i see you have the dalek mouse mat. i have that, but i dont use it. i blue tacked it to the wall like a mini poster. its a good reveiw. i will gove it 5 stars. well done jason. i may be doing a room tour some time soon.
Wowzers i've wanted to hear ur voice for ages, infact ur voice sounds quite familiar! One of my friends likes star wars, and he has a game of it which is pretty good, mainly cos i like colliding into stuff wen i'm in the spaceships XD. I'm not tht much of a fan of Starwars, but this is a gr8 review, Jason :)
Thanks for watching Tocklafane 76 , alot of people tend to sound like other people , my nan calls us up sometimes and she mistakes me for my dad cos we sound the same over the phone so theres an example of people sounding the same for ya .
Just incase your wondering where i got the Dalek Mousemat , i got it free from an issue of Doctor Who Adventures comic i think last year , there was also a Cyberman version as well but im a BIG Dalek maniac !!!! .
Thanks for watching Steve , hope you mention me on one of your own reviews some day , i might review the Family Guy presents Blue Harvest DVD next so i'll keep you informed .
No , i wont ever show my face on YouTube as i would perfer to remain unrecognised like alot of other YouTubers whould prefer as well , plus you never know who may recognise you like some crazed nutter with a knife or something so no never gonna show my face .
cool. i thought you where a kid! you must be about 13,14,or maybe 15 because it says on youre page you're parents got married in 1994! good on this you sound about twenty lol. good vid
