Any one knows of any site that will go over step by step of the formation as well of each man's duties after the snap? Any information is appreciated. thanks
HOW could you dislike this?! this is the most intersting things and this could be very lethal combined with an option or slot jet triple option. its very smart and works well with linemen
@dxdude2004 lol ok look like that hurry up offense that oregon runs north western was doing that all the way back in 2001 there coach left and went to oklhoma and they start doing it like 3 years ago everybody is coping each other trust me i know from experince
Amazing offensive scheme. Just tried using it on NCAA 10 for the first time (Nevada's playbook). Even w/o a mobile QB, it works great as you have more blockers for counters and option pitches to the outside. Spreads the field out, and allows for some great inside running, too. All the advantages of an Ace set, but allows for better play-action QB rollouts.
CHRIS AULT.WHICH IS MY GRNAPDA.I SWEAR..HE MADE UP THE PISTOL FOR HIS OFFENSE CAUSE THEY NEEDED A NEW TYPE AND IT WORKED AMAZING FOR THEM THATS WHY THIS SEASON THEIR 9-1.AND I GET TO GO ON THE FIELD WITH MY GRANDPA.CHRIS AULT.FOR THE BOISE STATE GAME!!!!!!!!!!
i dont understand why more bad teams dont use offenses like this and the spread option... theres alot of really bad teams that run really bland vanilla offenses, and alot of teams that have TONS of talent that run gimmicky offenses... to me, teams like Texas and Florida make more sense to run normal one back or I formation power offenses, while more teams like Indiana should try to spread the field and use defensive confusion to their advantage
@Rocklegend20 You could try to be proud that the country's top programs like Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Nebraska are adopting Nevada's formation instead of being so bitter about it.

i love the pistol offense so much the mixture of the spread and ace is very cool it's a perfect play tipe i wish the ducks used it more often
DuckPredator96 1 year ago
the oregon ducks spread option is the best in college football like top 5 rushing and top 25 passing.

It was invented by Ault for the Wolf Pack-- why not analyze the Pack doing it?

@hawkin939
Its a Big Ten TV show...Thus why they are analyzing the POS Indiana team. Could of shown a better team that has used the pistol.

nice way to copy nevada
Rocklegend20 2 years ago
That's where they got the offense from. They visited Nevada's coaching staff to learn about the Pistol.

Thank you sir

It all comes from Chris Ault the Nevada head coach. He is regarded as a legend down there.
