  • you can find a few copies of the game on Ebay.

  • I beat this game a few days ago! The ending was awesome!

  • I loved this game. The problem is that people were comparing it to FF7. Yeah, by THAT standard, it's not that great.

A fun game is a fun game. Period.

  • I have to say, yeah, looking back, the graphics are pretty terrible. And they were only Ok for it's day and age, but I was like... 8 years old when this game came out. The game seemed perplex and mysterious to me, it still does, and I'd like to find a video, somewhere, on youtube, of the ending so I can get some idea of what that strange game from my childhood was even about...

  • looks pretty bitching

  • One word : Nostalgia.

Great character development and story. The animation and the battle system was tedious but what can you expect from a ps1 RPG. It's kinda funny that this and Crash Team Racing are the only games I can fondly remember back to; and this is coming from a guy who had loved MGS, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and most of the ps1 games that actually made ps1 a classic console.

  • AH YOU GUYS SUCK!

  • I played this when I was around 14 ( That's when I discovered FF7 from a friend. ) That game was amazing though.

  • THIS IS NOT A BAD RPG GAME... OK? It's one of the earliest RPG game i've played on ps1 and I still have it until now. the funny dialogues make up for it...

  • This isn't bad it's an original dark rpg

  • this game is not that bad

  • This was the best RPG game for PSX!

  • Yeah the best, after Suikoden 2, Suikoden 1, Xenogears, FF7, Grandia, Vagrant Story, Valkyrie Profile, Legend of Mana, Lunar, Lunar 2, FF8, FF9... not necessarily in that order

  • The crappiest RPG? Hardly, I believe that title is still held by Beyond the Beyond. This game lacked a pretty face, but excelled like no other in character development and DIALOGUE, just fucking hilarious and unforgettable shit. Also, the map screens and ability to dodge random encounters with the bumpers was a great addition. Its cheap as hell too, so I would encourage people to give it a shot. It takes a couple hours but you will fall in love with it. "You look like death eating a cracker!" ha

  • @ZeeGaz strange, i enjoyed that game alot lol

  • This game was good, but basically only because of music and CG magics and a little because of story, gameplay was horrible... I finished him in 2000, this game doing one little sucess here in Brazil.

I have one guide book complete in brazilian portuguese of Progames, an extinct games publisher!

  • I frak'n love this game. Too bad it was overshadowed by FF7

    thanks for the post.

  • @sandite007

hey, what do you know :) you just been overshadowed by 7 thumbs ups! lol

  • this looks fun.

  • If you think it sucks so much, then why the hell are you playing it?

  • wat makes this a bad game?

  • Shadow Madness was gangsta, sons!!!

  • Has it really been ten years since this game was released?

  • .... terrible. this is one of the best rpgs ever made for ps1. imo: just as good or better than ff7 because of cool dark twisted storyline, characters and music.

  • Ok one thing about this game i found really odd was some of the battle music..was the exact same battle music for Icewind Dale...Anyone ever notice that?

  • Nice videos! Do more!

  • this game isn't crappy and harv-5 rules.

  • Lmfao great pose

  • I first played this game on demo disc, I loved it, my bro got the game and he beat it. This game might have crapy graphics but its gameplay that counts.

  • Actually honestly the graphics weren't bad, the character graphics were bad but the backgrounds looked great, it was the battle system as you can see here that was really bad.

  • Oh this game was so beautiful to me! Do you know where I can find more videos of it or where I can buy the game itself?

  • we purchased the game online from amazon i believe for about 6 dollars. :P

  • Did you like this game at all?

  • Yeah, it was fun, it's just really easy to make fun of at the same time. The friend who purchased it loved it when it first came out, which is why we got it again.

  • yeah, it's one of those games that are crappy but fun at the same time. It reminds me of "Digimon World" for the ps1, you have to take your digimon to a toilet so it can shit, if you don't get it there on time it lays one right next to ya.

  • omg i miss that digimon game it was another fav for the ps1, i remember trying to keep it whenever i rented it from rogers video

  • yeah that digimon game was hard as hell though.

  • i love this fuckin game!!! i dont even care what the reviews say, they can kiss my ass... i love the whole dark feel of it, it's so evil and great and the music is awesome.

    yaaaaayy

  • I agree man. Shadow mandness was awesome...good times.

  • I might do a playthrough myself if you don't, Oreo. How would I go about doing that? What equipment would I need?

  • I have two jobs so I don't get to play often. I just used my digital camera to record it, that's why the quality is pretty shitty. I haven't finished it yet, no and I probably won't post more videos unless something really exiting happens :P

  • So, did you ever beat this game, Oreo?

  • Oh, man! I loved this game! It's a shame it wasn't more popular. I actually didn't mind the graphics so much, but the storyline if you were patient and stuck with it, really started heating up once you got past Red Tom in the cave.

  • Yeah I remember it really did. Like, I was reallly into it. Love that game.

  • Right, so that makes 6 people who want to see a playthrough. When can we expect part 1? :)

  • Are you really going to do a playthrough of this?

  • Just how many RPGs do you know have farmer robots, and floating heads? This kind of uniqueness is missing in todays games. i_i

  • Weren't there also a senile knight and a six armed warrior woman from hell? I forget. It's been so long. All I know is that it had a very unusual cast of characters but once Xero is recruited my memory becomes blurry. I remember something about a machine that drills through the underground and that's it.

  • There was a Sir Georges at the beginning of the game when you visit a nursing home. He joins your party for about five seconds before the nurse tells him it's time for dinner, then he leaves your party. And the warrior lady was Jirina. She joins later in the game near the end.

  • This game isn't so horrible, the one flaw is the battle system, you can tell they slapped it together in like a day or so. the graphics remind me of FFVII.

  • Despite being a really crappy game, it brings back some good memories. My friends and I were determined to beat this dog over a weekend. We suffered through it ^_^ and had a few laughs along the way.

  • I'm joining the list of people who would like to see a playthrough of SM. This game owned. It was like a nerd at prom time; Great personality, just not pretty enough to go to the dance.

  • this game was weird..

  • I loved this game! Someone really should do a playthrough of it on youtube. There were some really great moments in the storyline. Shadow Madness was a lot like a runt puppy. It's small, ugly and there's just something not right about it. But that makes you love it even more.

  • I actually loved this game as a kid, It was so awesome to me, I got really far too

  • I'm the only person in the world who likes this game! Please play through the entire game and post your progress on youtube!

  • I liked this game too, its just these g-tards who made this video hate it, i'd love to see more footage of this game

  • AND PEOPLE LIKE 'G-TARDS'

  • MADE THIS GAME
