  • my god that was the best thing i've ever seen I'm just learning this piece of music do you have any enquiries or advice that could help me in learning ?

  • Fabulous, I'm inspired to try harder on the guitar.

  • Could you please play the sarabande (996) :D?

  • Listening to your playing is a pleasure.

  • Beautiful, but that bark at the end was alarming, as I have a dog and I jump every time she barks unexpectedly.

  • Incredible playing, a great inspiration. Do you play professionally for any guitar company and will you be at NAMM 2012?

What about sheet music to these pieces as well, your versions?

  • Incredible playing, a great inspiration. Do you play professioanlly for any guitar company and will you be at NAMM 2012?

  • You depress me. I have a classical guitar exam in a little under 2 years and this piece is on the list. I really hope I'll be able to play it with at least 50% of your skill!

Your perfect performance is simply breathtaking!

  • A GOD!!! A GOD!!!

  • Just great, thanx.

  • sir... you are me and my brother inspiration to play classical guitar. Thank you for put your excellents guitar video on youtube. I am pretty sure some one like you sir are a professor in art collage/university. I hope some day i could be your pupil

    best regard from Indonesia

  • Hi there my friend. I am very happy if I can inspire you and your brother to play more. Yes, I am a professor in Classical guitar in Copenhagen. Who knows, maybe some day we will play together.

    Keep playing (and listening).

    Per-Olov

  • Two questions? Do you work out your on fingerings? How long does it take you to memorize a piece like this? Your playing is remarkable...much like Julian Bream is a cut above the know professionals, you are a cut above the men and women posting you YOUtube. Enjoy your playing!

  • Hi. Thanks for listening to me. Yes, i always do my own fingerings and often arrangements too. You can find them on my web shop for ordering and download.

I worked on this since I studied at the Royal Academy of Music so I have known this a long time. Julian Bream is my idol so I am happy you mention him.

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • Just amazing. Your playing is moving!

  • absolutely beautiful, and an inspiration to see.

  • you are my favorite man on youtube for classical covers! i always come back to you. thank you my friend.

  • Great playing and a beautiful piece :)

  • Lovely playing and great interpretation of a lute transcription. it's really nice to know it's not just me that emits that tricky C natural in the iv chord leading up to the dominant trill at the end of the second section!! I feel so much better! Thanks!

  • Superb! Like going back in time - I put classic fm on the radio when my kids are in the car so they get exposed to this type music. Good trick as they cant get away! They actually like it. Anyway marvellous playing will be visiting many more times.

  • Wow you are very good

  • Es el alimento para el alma, en tiempos de felicidad y en tiempos alegres

  • Its Incredible how naturally you play

  • this is truly fantastic.

  • Thanks! I like your performance (I also recorded my interpretation of this composition; please listen and let me know what you think if you'll have time, thanks).

    Dmitri

  • 1:09 , the first 3 notes of that drop sounds SO familiar! Can anyone tell me where I might have heard it?

  • I seriously rate your playing sir. I always watch with respect and envy at the way you get these exceptional sounds from your guitar. a master player in my opinion. O h and what is that guitar? it looks to have a slightly wider neck. You make it sound astonishing.

  • NVM! jaja I just saw ur description :P

  • Could you post a video tutorial on this song? plz! or do u have tabs?'

  • BRAVO!

    REV 18

  • dsl mais je trouve que c'est très plat... Sinon belle perf technique

  • je trouve ca assez plat... En dehors de la performance bien sur

  • This is very helpful for my studies in understanding the history of dance. Beautiful quality to.

  • Hey man, i went to ur site and checked out the tabs for BWV 996 and I noticed you only have the Allemande and the Bourree. Do you happen to have the whole 996?

    1. Präludium: Presto

    2. Allemande

    3. Courante

    4. (Sarabande)

    5. Bourrée

    6. (Gigue)

  • Hi there. I was just online. Yes, I have the Prelude/Presto and Sarabande too. Gigue is coming soon... and the Courante later this summer.

    Thanks for visiting my Shop.

    All the best,

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo can i get the link to the Presto and Sarabande? I can't seem to find it in your shop

  • Hi. Try this for the Sarabande per-olovkindgren. com/ipnmonitor/index.php?page=3&maincat_id=9

or see the front page of my shop

    Hope you will find it.

  • and this for the Presto

    per-olovkindgren. com/ipnmonitor/index.php?page=2&maincat_id=9

NOTE. please remember to remove the space before dot com!!

  • @AndanteLargo thank you very much. I found them. I will be buying the Allemande today and I will buy the Gigue and Courante when they are put up there. I kinda got a challenge for you. Would you mind playing Bach's little fugue with just one guitar? And I don't mean layering guitar recordings on top of another. I know what little fugue is and I've heard it. That's why I called it a challenge :D

  • @AndanteLargo I bought the Allemande today and I will be waiting for he Gigue and the Courante. Thank you very much. I was wondering if you could accept a challenge. Will you play Bach's Little Fugue only using one guitar? And you can't layer one guitar recording on top of the other unless the 4th line comes into play. I know what the little fugue is and I've heard it. That's why I called it a challenge :D

  • @AndanteLargo does it matter how you finger the notes? which fingers to use? Because I'm using my own style and I'm having difficulties

  • @rtfggj Well, theres nothing wrong using your own fingerings, but always consult them with your teacher, because you could miss out some details. Like you said, youre having diffilcuties, so try using the original fingerings, they are usually made to make the song playable at its best.

  • Do your tabs cost money Per-Olov? I went to your site and couldn't seem to find any tabs at all, thanks.

  • @AndanteLargo Courante is the best..which is the most beautiful and interesting to play..... IMHO ofcourse. Can't wait for that one to happen.,,,or has it?

  • @rtfggj tabs?... unreal.... *facepalm*

You think you would know how to read sheet music while trying to learn a BACH piece...

  • 良い演奏だ、何時までも聞いていたくなる・・・。

  • You played this beautifully. I play half of this piece, but the second part confuses my fingers still, and my flamenco guitar is much brighter than your classical. Thanks.

  • would you mind telling me what guitar you are playing here?

It is so calming one forgets how much hard training it takes to play such a masterpiece the way YOU do.

    my respect!

  • Hi there.

Thank you. I am plying my Philippe Jean-Mairet from 1987. If you follow the link to mt web site under the video, you can get all the info you want on my guitar(s).

    All the best,

    Per-Olov

  • I am learning this suite for my senior recital for my music degree in guitar!!! I have bouree now I am doing this. Then I get to do Courante =)

  • I wish you all the best and good luck!! Keep playing!

    Per-Olov

  • ele é muito bom.

  • i'm a big fan of classical music and i play guitar myself (primarily rock) but i would love to learn alot of the things you play! great job man!

  • I LOVE to hear you play!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent

  • This is so inspiring. I think your interpretations of Bach are my favourite.

  • i'm from Guatemala, and you really inspire me to keep playing this wonderful instrument, you really are amazing!!

  • why cant i play this? :(

  • Nice

  • Classical guitar is no doubt harder than Metal or Rock because in most pieces you play the bass and the higher part like in Bourree so it's alot more confusing.

  • thank you a lot im starting with this one next week its awsome

  • Wow, that was gorgeous. And what an incredible instrument. May I ask who made it?

  • Hi! If you take requests, I think it would be AMAZING if you could arrange Bach's Partita 2 for guitar, specifically V. "Rondeaux"!

  • You're incredible. Not maybe, but for sure the best classical guitar player i've ever seen. If there is someone like you or better, please point out, because he/she might be god.Which strings do you use~~

  • you should give up the guitar. You've mastered it as far as it could be mastered.

  • :-) Thanks. No! i love it and I learn so many things every day. The good thing with music is that you never finish learning!

I'll keep playing until my fingers are too old. I hope you will listen to me until then. :-)

    Per-Olov

  • Wow, finally someone who really knows how to play Bach on guitar...Good Job!!!

  • Thanks a lot! Appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • This guy makes me want to quit playing guitar LOL

  • NO! Don't!

I want to inspire! Please keep playing more...!

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo this clip both inspires me and make me want to quit (but mostly inspirational). Beautiful.

  • @andymac420 Are you stupod do you know guitar??do you know who write this song?

  • What partiture are you using?

  • My own that I sell on my web shop at

    per-olovkindgren. com

    Thanks for listening.

    Per-Olov

  • Hej Per-Olov! Jag undrar, vilket stränghöjd har du på din gitarr mätt vid 12:e bandet?

    // Emil

  • Hej Emil,

    Ca. 4 mm.

  • @AndanteLargo Tack!

    Per-olov

  • is it wrong to enjoy these songs slower musically? because the chords get washed away in all the speed in my opinion... I like to play this very amateur of course but I dont like all the hasty jumping

  • ich spiel das auch gerade und das ist so meeega schwer :)

    respekt :)

  • i will begin to play this song tomrrow and i´m scared because it looks so difficult :)

  • ur playing is amazing.....must be yearsof experiance.

  • his fingers go like a spider.. :)

  • Ive almost got this song memorized and im going to start perfecting it. I look at yours to mind me what it should sound like and I realize that I will come nowhere close. ^^

  • Great playing!

  • Great stuff, now I whish that you would record the gigue from the same BWV - on your new guitar preferably :-)

God jul och god fortsättning Per-Olov!

  • Beautifully judged colouration with exemplary pace and dynamics. You have become my number one you-tube teacher! You play amost everything that I play and has become habitual for me to "refer" to your recordings as I am learning. Thank you so much for your recordings

  • How about coming to Vancouver BC one day?

  • his damn torso dont moves a fuck.. he looks like a fucking robot lmfao

  • @smokagrass: haha. ^^ yes his torso moves. it's just subtle, like the playing!

  • This really helped me out. I'm taking my practical exams in December and this is my first piece.

    The playing is fantastic. :)

    Thanks so much. :)

  • Hello Peo,

Thank you for my soul :)

A pure delight to hear you!

    Benoît

  • What a fabulous performance! A fantastic interpretation. I recently did an audition at the Royal Northern College of Music and one of the other auditionees was playing this in the warm up room before my warm up and simply had to check it out!

  • Elegant!

  • Very nice!!, you make to look so easy...

  • adoro ouvi-lo a tocar bach

    bravissimo

  • que libros de solfeo y nota recomendaria?

hasta ahora solo he estudiado el sagregas y carulli

ojala me aconsejara alguno en particular

  • 8 people can go jump off a building! :D

  • :-)

don't say that! Not everyone HAS to like my playing...

  • @AndanteLargo yea not everyone has to like it *cocks shotgun* but they would be better off if they did! and also accept my friend invitation please, i was trying to send you a message!

  • @AndanteLargo no trust us they do lol

  • @AndanteLargo But there's no denying you're incredibly good :)

  • @AndanteLargo "Not everyone HAS to like my playing..."

YES THEY DO! It's a masterpiece played by a guitar god.

  • @AndanteLargo anyone claiming they 'dislike' this or any of his others, probably shouldn't bother watching classical guitar videos!

  • @AndanteLargo

its true, not everyone has to like your playing. BUT if they dont, they are fucking retarded.

  • @AndanteLargo I absolutely adore your playing! I have a question though. Why do you prefer the single string trills as opposed to the campanella/cross-string trill (I.e. g open f# on the 4th string, right hand using A M I P between the two)? I know its impossible sometimes, but when possible, I feel it sounds better and is more articulate. It also mimics the harpsichord trill effect more closely. Just a thought! I think you're great!

  • @AndanteLargo Oh yes they do!!!!

  • @AndanteLargo but everyone must like the music itself!

  • @AndanteLargo your playing is the single most beautiful thing ive heard :)

  • @AndanteLargo but everyone HAS to like Bach! ;) :)) :))

  • @blurty16 Make it nine, should I jump now too?

  • @blurty16 make that 13 now :@

  • you have tabs for this song

  • If that is a question... Yes, i do.

    please go to

    per-olovkindgren. com

    Per-Olov

  • I am ALWAYS impressed by YOUR playing!! I have enjoyed every video I have seen!! I hope you have plans to tour US in near future!!

  • Thank you. I hope to be playing in Florida soon.

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo in or around miami lakes? that would be fantastic! *crosses fingers*

  • :-) hi. I am always in Surfside when I am in Miami... But I plan to play on Lincoln Rd. next time... just for fun :-) if you see the link above for version 1 it is recorded in Miami Beach...

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • WOW

  • You are so good i have much respect for classical players such as your self great stuff!!

  • lol @ 8 dislikes :p

  • Incredible man. your fluency / dexterity, and on 6 strings. I hope I can one day even come close... guess I'm going to have to go from bass to play guitar for a while whether I like it or not :)

  • Hi, i emailed you and never got a response. was really hoping you could explain how you do that little finger trill around 34 seconds of this video. i learned the entire song but i can't seem to get that one part sounding right.

  • very impressive work,

you are the best classical guitarist (exept for edgar cruz)

    i' ve ever seen

i wish you were my teacher

  • i would give my right hand to be able to play like that!

    o wait.....:)

  • I am delighted to have found your videos. Thank you for sharing them.

  • Hi Per-Olov!

I love your videos and your a great inspiration to me! I love listening to classical guitar and a really like to play heavy metal like Metallica and such. Could you make a video of improvised classical? I try to improvise but I just cant seem to run away from pentatonic scales and I need an influence! It would be a great help if you did that!

    Sincerely Michael Hunter, Orlando Fl

  • You're the best

  • at one point this man couldn't tune a guitar by himself . good grief that was good !

  • largo, or adante,

This AGAIN i have to put to my all-time favorites.. This progression you make seem sooo easy, but really it's not, and yes.... YES i tryd, it is not this simple....

    Regardos,

    Amigos!

  • It sounds better 240p then 360p by the way!!!

  • Hello Peter,

Very nice ... thanks a lot for sharing these. Have you release these on CD, would love to have them with me ...

  • Maestro, hermosa versíon, muchas gracias por compartirla

  • Dear Mr. Kindren

You bring out the joy in Bach's music. If you would make a Bach CD (or two or three), I'd buy them all. These days you don't need a big music company to back you up, I don't think.

And it would be a great joy for many music lovers. Now I mainly listen Filomena Moretti's interpretations for my commute, it'd be a treat to listen to your take on this great music.

    Would that be possible ?

  • Wow im speechless!

  • I really liked this performance! I've just started to learn this piece, after a few years of hearing recordings of it, and I think you played this very well. The right level of expression, I think, and I like this tempo.

  • Bravo!

    Superb playing!

    Kudos!

    Nice bark :-)

  • BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!

  • Отлично! Замечательно! Большое спасибо!

  • Hi Per-Olov,

I tried to download one of your (free) transcripts, but my comuter went a bit weird, and I stopped the process. Anyway, is there any chance you could mail me the transcripts upon placing an order for 6 or 7 of them?

    Absolutely fantastic playing!!

    Cheers from Fernie, BC. Canada

  • Hi Fernie,

Thank you for using my web shop. I have no idea why your computer acted strange... I can assure you my PDF files are OK and no virus... Please try again.

Yes, if you order from my site and have problems downloading, I can send you the files in an email. But please try again. Be sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed.

    Per-Olov

  • Great!! now try it in A

  • I like this one too. when did you start playing?

  • love your playing, do you ever perform in the uk?

  • Thank you. I am honored. I may got o Newcastle later this year but the plans are not very specific yet.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Very nice playing, I think this is my favourite one of your videos :)

  • Really? Thanks a lot! Appreciated.

    Per-Olov

  • just super!

I play it too and work for years on it

  • If I played guitar, I'd want you as my teacher. You play so well. Very expressive, very precise. Superb. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

  • Hello my Friend,

Just wondering how you have the ability to memorize so many pieces and play it so well. I play pretty well but my main problem is memorizing the pieces. Could you give me any clue, how you do it ¿

    Regards,

    Luis

  • Hola Luis,

This music I have played for 20 years so I know it very well. But as you can see on many of my videos, I look at the sheet music too. I learn a new piece every day so I cannot memorize all of them.

To do that,, you have to decide to do it. Play 1 line at a time and then close your eyes and try to play it again. keep doing that until you can do it. Then the next line and so on...

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • very well played sir

  • Thank you Mike! Appreciated.

    Per-Olov

  • Mr. Kindgren,

You are fantastic, perfect. Where are you from?

  • Thank you Rick. I am Swedish but I have lived in Copenhagen, Denmark all my life. (I was born in Colombia though...)

    Per-Olov

  • I just bought this tab from your web site :)

  • :-) Thanks! Have fun! it's a very nice piece! Will we ever hear youre version?

    Please?

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo Lol it's going to be a while, I wish you would make a Guitar Pro version for your tabs though :)

  • man . thats awesome . very good playing .. i agree with psychopathtoine though ..

  • a bit fast, but very clean! i suppose you are allowed to play it faster if there are no mistakes... i dig the dog bark at the end too. nice work, thanks.

  • very good job . a bit fast but this makes it special ..! : -)

  • very good job . a bit fast but this makes it special ..

  • Simply superb...

    I love your interpretation

  • I never listened any performance cleaner then this. Flawless! Simply awesome...

  • I LOVE the quicker pace in this!!! It's really ALIVE. Amazingly played by Maestro Kindgren

  • What a dog in the end???

  • Amazing skills!

  • Skilled!

  • Very well played, thank you!and your guitar is amazing.

  • Wow this is amazing.

Such nice flow in your playing, makes it sound really magic :D

  • very nice. great performance quality

  • I love it. I learned it too, but... sounds pretty bad at the moment. I have to practice a bit more. ^^

Somehow, it's a weird thing. I have to learn hard for such a peace, mb 2 weeks for 2min good music. :D

  • Greetings from Chattanooga and Great playing! Can u tell me your right hand fingering you use for the cross string "mordant" after the repeat in the first section. a m i is what I use, but it is a little awkward. It would be a great help. Thanks!

    David
