my god that was the best thing i've ever seen I'm just learning this piece of music do you have any enquiries or advice that could help me in learning ?
You depress me. I have a classical guitar exam in a little under 2 years and this piece is on the list. I really hope I'll be able to play it with at least 50% of your skill!
sir... you are me and my brother inspiration to play classical guitar. Thank you for put your excellents guitar video on youtube. I am pretty sure some one like you sir are a professor in art collage/university. I hope some day i could be your pupil
Hi there my friend. I am very happy if I can inspire you and your brother to play more. Yes, I am a professor in Classical guitar in Copenhagen. Who knows, maybe some day we will play together.
Two questions? Do you work out your on fingerings? How long does it take you to memorize a piece like this? Your playing is remarkable...much like Julian Bream is a cut above the know professionals, you are a cut above the men and women posting you YOUtube. Enjoy your playing!
Hi. Thanks for listening to me. Yes, i always do my own fingerings and often arrangements too. You can find them on my web shop for ordering and download.
I worked on this since I studied at the Royal Academy of Music so I have known this a long time. Julian Bream is my idol so I am happy you mention him.
Lovely playing and great interpretation of a lute transcription. it's really nice to know it's not just me that emits that tricky C natural in the iv chord leading up to the dominant trill at the end of the second section!! I feel so much better! Thanks!
Superb! Like going back in time - I put classic fm on the radio when my kids are in the car so they get exposed to this type music. Good trick as they cant get away! They actually like it. Anyway marvellous playing will be visiting many more times.
Thanks! I like your performance (I also recorded my interpretation of this composition; please listen and let me know what you think if you'll have time, thanks).
I seriously rate your playing sir. I always watch with respect and envy at the way you get these exceptional sounds from your guitar. a master player in my opinion. O h and what is that guitar? it looks to have a slightly wider neck. You make it sound astonishing.
Hey man, i went to ur site and checked out the tabs for BWV 996 and I noticed you only have the Allemande and the Bourree. Do you happen to have the whole 996?
@AndanteLargo thank you very much. I found them. I will be buying the Allemande today and I will buy the Gigue and Courante when they are put up there. I kinda got a challenge for you. Would you mind playing Bach's little fugue with just one guitar? And I don't mean layering guitar recordings on top of another. I know what little fugue is and I've heard it. That's why I called it a challenge :D
@AndanteLargo I bought the Allemande today and I will be waiting for he Gigue and the Courante. Thank you very much. I was wondering if you could accept a challenge. Will you play Bach's Little Fugue only using one guitar? And you can't layer one guitar recording on top of the other unless the 4th line comes into play. I know what the little fugue is and I've heard it. That's why I called it a challenge :D
@rtfggj Well, theres nothing wrong using your own fingerings, but always consult them with your teacher, because you could miss out some details. Like you said, youre having diffilcuties, so try using the original fingerings, they are usually made to make the song playable at its best.
@AndanteLargo Courante is the best..which is the most beautiful and interesting to play..... IMHO ofcourse. Can't wait for that one to happen.,,,or has it?
You played this beautifully. I play half of this piece, but the second part confuses my fingers still, and my flamenco guitar is much brighter than your classical. Thanks.
Thank you. I am plying my Philippe Jean-Mairet from 1987. If you follow the link to mt web site under the video, you can get all the info you want on my guitar(s).
Classical guitar is no doubt harder than Metal or Rock because in most pieces you play the bass and the higher part like in Bourree so it's alot more confusing.
You're incredible. Not maybe, but for sure the best classical guitar player i've ever seen. If there is someone like you or better, please point out, because he/she might be god.Which strings do you use~~
@AndanteLargo Tack! :)
is it wrong to enjoy these songs slower musically? because the chords get washed away in all the speed in my opinion... I like to play this very amateur of course but I dont like all the hasty jumping

@AndanteLargo yea not everyone has to like it *cocks shotgun* but they would be better off if they did! and also accept my friend invitation please, i was trying to send you a message!
@AndanteLargo I absolutely adore your playing! I have a question though. Why do you prefer the single string trills as opposed to the campanella/cross-string trill (I.e. g open f# on the 4th string, right hand using A M I P between the two)? I know its impossible sometimes, but when possible, I feel it sounds better and is more articulate. It also mimics the harpsichord trill effect more closely. Just a thought! I think you're great!

You bring out the joy in Bach's music. If you would make a Bach CD (or two or three), I'd buy them all. These days you don't need a big music company to back you up, I don't think.
And it would be a great joy for many music lovers. Now I mainly listen Filomena Moretti's interpretations for my commute, it'd be a treat to listen to your take on this great music.
I really liked this performance! I've just started to learn this piece, after a few years of hearing recordings of it, and I think you played this very well. The right level of expression, I think, and I like this tempo.
I tried to download one of your (free) transcripts, but my comuter went a bit weird, and I stopped the process. Anyway, is there any chance you could mail me the transcripts upon placing an order for 6 or 7 of them?
Thank you for using my web shop. I have no idea why your computer acted strange... I can assure you my PDF files are OK and no virus... Please try again.
Yes, if you order from my site and have problems downloading, I can send you the files in an email. But please try again. Be sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed.
Just wondering how you have the ability to memorize so many pieces and play it so well. I play pretty well but my main problem is memorizing the pieces. Could you give me any clue, how you do it ¿
This music I have played for 20 years so I know it very well. But as you can see on many of my videos, I look at the sheet music too. I learn a new piece every day so I cannot memorize all of them.
To do that,, you have to decide to do it. Play 1 line at a time and then close your eyes and try to play it again. keep doing that until you can do it. Then the next line and so on...
a bit fast, but very clean! i suppose you are allowed to play it faster if there are no mistakes... i dig the dog bark at the end too. nice work, thanks.
Greetings from Chattanooga and Great playing! Can u tell me your right hand fingering you use for the cross string "mordant" after the repeat in the first section. a m i is what I use, but it is a little awkward. It would be a great help. Thanks!
my god that was the best thing i've ever seen I'm just learning this piece of music do you have any enquiries or advice that could help me in learning ?

I tried to download one of your (free) transcripts, but my comuter went a bit weird, and I stopped the process. Anyway, is there any chance you could mail me the transcripts upon placing an order for 6 or 7 of them?
Absolutely fantastic playing!!

Hi Fernie,
Thank you for using my web shop. I have no idea why your computer acted strange... I can assure you my PDF files are OK and no virus... Please try again.
Yes, if you order from my site and have problems downloading, I can send you the files in an email. But please try again. Be sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed.

If I played guitar, I'd want you as my teacher. You play so well. Very expressive, very precise. Superb. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

Hello my Friend,
Just wondering how you have the ability to memorize so many pieces and play it so well. I play pretty well but my main problem is memorizing the pieces. Could you give me any clue, how you do it ¿
Regards,
Luis

Hola Luis,
This music I have played for 20 years so I know it very well.
Good luck!

I love it. I learned it too, but... sounds pretty bad at the moment. I have to practice a bit more. ^^
Somehow, it's a weird thing. I have to learn hard for such a peace, mb 2 weeks for 2min good music. :D

Greetings from Chattanooga and Great playing! Can u tell me your right hand fingering you use for the cross string "mordant" after the repeat in the first section. a m i is what I use, but it is a little awkward. It would be a great help. Thanks!
