this game is not as realistic as it should be, i own a 2008 z06, and it sounds nothing like the car in the game and handles nothing like it either, the camera that follows the car is horrible its locked on and should allow for a little slip, the tire sounds is annoying and unrealistic, the smoke is bullshait and the controls its flase it works on your speed, it wont let me have full motion of the front wheels unless i am stoped and thats not realistic at all.

Not to mention, there's no damage system because the manufacturers don't allow the damage to the degree they want it. They want it so the entire car is totaled. Forza only has like bumps and scratches, not the entire thing completely mangled.

this game is realistic in terms of performance but besides that i really cant understand how this game costed me 3 times as much as gt4. in neither of them can you do a burnout, the slr sounds like a tic tac in a hair dryer and in gt5 the engines sound like recordings in the passenger seat! it feels like youre not even moving! in grid obviously the performance is arcade but you can tell whether traction control is on/off and the visuals/feeling of speed look more youtube.

When the full game comes out it will be both graphically stunning and include tons of cars as well. In terms of prologue it lacks number of cars and tracks, due to it not being the whole game, but it is photo-realistic as well as being realistic in terms of physics.

But let's not forget something. GRID is purely arcade in it's own right, and it is a VERY fun racing game.

Overall, Gran Turismo 5 is one game to aspire too, a lot of real race drivers play GT5 to practice certain courses, without actually having to go out and race their real cars. That's how true to life the game FEELS when you play it. They said that themselves, I'm not making it up I swear to god.

I have owned every Single Gt game there was since the ps1. But That has all changed since Gt4. When I met a bright new series called Forza. When i first played forza i was like Meh. But then i grew to love it and relized how much better there physics system was i was like wow. Sure GT 5 will have the graphics. But it will never have me as a player. Forza Motorsport 2 to me is just more fun. I still respect the GT series just slightly less.

Forza 3 is being developed as we speak and I think the Polyphonal team has finally been eclipsed. Forza 2 is simply a more true to life and better racing experience. Gran Turismo had its run though. RIP Gran Turismo.
