  • I should also mention that my mother died on Sept. 23rd, 2011, and I listened to Resphigi's Suite No 2 III Campanae parisiennses the night I heard about it.

  • When I first moved up to Western Massachusetts from Brooklyn, NY, I was awakened every Wednesday morning by Robert J. Lurtsema playing this as the introduction to Morning Pro Musica.

I had just begun a new life, away from my birth home, with the love of my life, and this music epitomized a new beginning, every morning.

Now, 33 years later, it still means the same thing to me.

  • Grande Respighi!

  • Oh wow! I haven't heard the Bergamasca since college and that was a LONG time ago. What bliss, what inspiration. Thank you for this.

  • Please include information about the performers...The Orchestra...The Conductor... Thanks.

  • @Emyth9 Hi, it took me a while to find the information because I wasn't sure which version this was. I believe I finally found the correct information. The conductor, orchestra and year have been added to the description.

  • @WidarsHallen Thank you! As a 30-year veteran of Classical music on public radio I appreciate these details!

  • Amazing !!!

  • I am just discovering Respighi. Thank you. This was very well done,.
