I've finished the 3 heart challenge for this game. I actually took a reeeaaaallllyyy long break right at the final phantom ganon fight and even forgot i was doing one. Came back earlier this week and actually did really well. Puppet ganon was hard though. I also didn't upgrade the magic.
Most of the savage labyrinth is required, (to get a triforce chart) but it would be cool if you did the WHOLE savage labyrinth. With NO potions or fairys! That would be AWESOME
As someone who played this game way back when it's released, I'm actually really interested in what you'd do to beat the game with three hearts. You know, like maybe any speedrun techniques, or ways of avoiding taking damage from enemies and what not. But a few quick questions:
1. I assume this is just the main quest, right? Although I'd love to see someone clear the Savage Labyrinth with three hearts.
2. Not sure what else, although if you get stuck, talk to the boat.
Damage prevention techniques can be fun to look for on the spot. There is a question I have, though. I'm not entirely sure what the Savage Labyrinth is. That may be because I haven't played in years, but it isn't sounding familiar.
It's a fifty (I think fifty one) floor mini dungeon on Outset Island. Move the giant rock near Link's house, and enter. You'll have to do so to get one of the Triforce Charts, so maybe try it then.
@LinksDarkArrows i'm doing the 3 heart challenge and almost done with the game. (haven't died once) It's really easy. Just remember to carry a boomerang at all times and have good reaction. I was able to get out of a group of 50 of those guys with the pitchforks. It's all about shield when necessary and just doing small jobs that allow you time to do the next attack. Use the boomerang if you want more time for your hits. Other than that this game gives you a lot of opportunities.

I love how the shield in this game that was said to be used by the legendary hero, looks NOTHING like the shield actually used by the legendary hero.

It's the prototype Cave of Ordeals.

Oh yeah. I remember that now. I think I came close to finishing once, but never tried again.

Only close? I remember beating that myself, and you're far about at Legend of Zelda games.

its like, 100 levels i think, or is that from twilight princess? ._.

Twilight Princess has it too. That game has 50 stages, and I think Wind Waker does too.
LinksDarkArrows 2 years ago
ah, that makes sense, i never owned wind waker, and i lost interest when it came to the point where you were just sailing and looking for the maps
