That baseline move at 0:23 was in the 1980 NBA finals, game 4. It is the best move I have ever seen. I love the way Bobby Jones leaps up to tip in a possible miss, only to have a "I didn't need to do that" expression as the ball falls through the net.
MJ has the numbers and is probably the greatest, but you cannot deny that DR J was great to watch. You just cannot forget the way he could dunk. What can you say, they were both sensational.
i know he just winds up and stanks people. half the time hes in the sky with birds when he did that shyt. theres playground dunks hes done that still havent been recreated to this day. that really is a monster huh
No, there will be another quite like the Doctor, but he continues to live on in the spirit of play we see today. Actually the ABA style of play continues to live on as well as this is the style we are seeing. The NBA style before Doctor J was like watching Dinosaurs play or the WNBA today. This is why the ABA is highly respected amoung basketball fans. Needless to say, Doctor J has been voted the alltime ABA MVP! Larry Brown, Bobby Jones, Iceman, David Skywalker Thompson, all products of the ABA
Watching DR.J play ... brings tears to my eyes, I doubt if there ever will be another player who moves so graciously. Because of DR.J I started watching and playing basketball, he´s my numero uno for life!
Hey hey Dr. J, are you a member of the human race? He's wearing Converse, the shoes with a star! ...........Probably the best commercial in the world.
0:44 Lebron was like Dr. J for a sec with the dunk..... BUT Dr. J didn't travel

@Zachowako lol!!! You hit the nail on the head! The Dr. was too smooth & watching him glide to the hoop was like watching a moving work of art.
