Gold barbs are so fun! I just picked up 3 more today, bringing my shoal to 9. I love how well the form a school and swim together... and they are always busy and playing and EATING! When I get a better camera I will put up some vids of them. :o)
no the bubble curtain will not serve as a filter. It only keeps oxygen flowing and was actually not even necessary to the tank, but they seemed to like it.

do you use the bubble curtain as a filter? I have one and I didn't know if it could replace the filter or not.
