  • Red, that was hillarious. I love Mr. Skelton's G&H routines. this is the first time I've heard this one, though. =Stefan=

  • Thank you so much.

    Brian Hoffman~Red Skelton Impersonator

  • Keep up the good work!

  • Great work!

  • Guess an explanation is in order. Back in the last century... 'Necking' was a term used for the preliminaries to today's 'Hooking up'. In typical Red Skelton manner, he used the child's term for 'She' as 'Her'. 'Dirty' as in Patrick Swayze's movie 'Dirty Dancing', furthered the suggestion. The little joke had great subtle meaning during the 'innocent' century. We all thought 'subtle' beat 'flagrant' by a long shot. Even most porn was more innocent back then.

    Today it's mainstream, 'DaFlikkers'

  • Remember Red Skelton's Mommy telling him to stay away from the little girl next door and not to play with her because "Her neck's Dirty". He replied while looking very surprised,... "Her do?" 'DaFlikkers'

  • I heard you were going out for a swallow...LOL!!!! Great job. My need more comedians like Red Skelton, Bob Hope, Jack Benny, George Burns...not these alleged comics who use profanity in the name of being "edgy."

  • Cool, You sound just like him too! great job!

  • Woooow. I didn't read the title before I watched. And I thought it was Red! I was thinking, "this footage doesn't look old...". LOL Good job, Sir!

  • Thank you so much Judi. That means so much to me.

  • is this u?

  • Yes sir, it is me, Brian Hoffman impersonating Red Skelton.

I video taped this bit about 2 years ago here in Las Vegas

  • a jw how did u get in vegas ? like doing shows

  • Really Funny Stuff hehe!

  • Love this, it is like Red was here in person. This man, Brian Hoffman has more talent in his little finger that most of you have in your entire being.

This is a man who loves and is clean comedy.

These are family performances that the entire family can enjoy and love. Memories are made from special people like this. Create

your own memories with Brian. You will never regret it. A special man created for a very special purpose to let us love laughter and God.

  • You do a great job. I think Red would appprove.

I'll try to come up and see you perform sometime. I am down in Phoenix, so it would be a fairly easy trip up there.

  • Explosive, 5er.

  • Thank you so much.

Red was a very funny man!

  • funny stuff!!

  • Thank you so much.

It's a lot of fun to play Red Skelton in Las Vegas.

When I found this joke of his on a DVD I had to play it twice because I thought it was too funny!

  • Red Skelton was one of my favorites - don't need to be blue to be funny. Much prefer clean humor over the raunch being passed off as entertaining. God bless, 5/5 stars.

  • I thank you so much.

I found this joke on a DVD of Red's show aired in 1959.

I think is very very funny.

But then again I tend to laugh at my own jokes anyway!

I wish you continued success in all you do.

Goodnight now and may God bless

    Brian Hoffman~Red Skelton Impersonator.

p.s. when you get a chance please tell your friends there is a new Red Skelton Impersonator performing 4 nights a week in Las Vegas and his name is Brian Hoffman!;)

  • Grew up watching Red's TV show and old films. Amazing impersonation.

  • Thank you very much.

I feel so honored to be able to play Red Skelton in Las Vegas.

He played Vegas in the 60's.

Goodnight now and may God bless.

    Brian Hoffman~Red Skelton Impersonator

  • Amazing!

Ever been or go to Oklahoma?

  • I think what you do is amazing. Would love to see you perform.

Do you perform elsewhere besides Las Vegas?

  • Yes depending on where I get booked. Always looking for venues to perform in.

Will be in Indiana in April for a Corporate gig

  • That's funny.

    Awesome job

  • I love Gertrude and Heathcliffe;)

  • Great doppelganger of one of my favorite comedians. Can you (or will you) do "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" from the movie "Lovely To Look At"? Hilarious falling- off- the- piano parody. Love to have you visit my channel for a rating/comment on my male version of Connie Francis' "Where The Boys Are"...titled "Where The Beers Are". Typifies what may happen with a coerced ad hoc performance. God Bless and Good Night, Brian! Cordially, John

  • I haven't done that on yet.

    Looking into it!

I'like his line "Is that an A?... it sounds like L."

  • I'm a huge Red Skelton fan and I appreciate your impersonation skills of him. However, remember Red was a man of good taste in his humor. I never heard him use the "going out for a swallow" punchline. If he did, I'm sure it was a risky move for his time. You did capture him quite well though. Good job!

  • I'm a huge fan too. Thank you for the compliment.

I found this joke that Red did live on air in 1959.

A "swallow" is a species of bird. What did you think it means?;)

  • I know a Swallow is a type of bird, but the inuendo of a cheating bird going for a Swallow states a little than innocent humor. Even the crowd knew that was dirty for Red Skelton. Where can I find audion clip? I'm curious if it was actually aired over the radio.

  • good job!!!

  • Thank you so much.

"Goodnight now and may God bless"

    Brian Hoffman~aka~Red Skelton

  • Great work big shoes to fill . *****

  • Thanks. I really appreciate and understand what I have to live up to.

"Goodnight now and may God bless"

    Brian Hoffman~Red Skelton

  • HEHEHE!! GREAT!

  • Thank you so much.

"Goodnight now and may God bless"

  • Awesome Job Brian, You always crack me up!
