since i'm legally blind i would use the light on it to read like an ammount on a bill or read the manuel or take it to a resturant and read the menu with it a portable CCTV

@PacificIslandTourist hey its nggreviews, and well, I bought a Canon VIXIA for $279 on amazon and it has full HD capabilities and a mic jack...so I'd go for that instead

@Dubhub123 YES YOU CAN, the attachment is 37mm sony's website says it can fit itself just search for the camcorder on sony's website and then under the optics/lense section, there will be something called a filter diameter that will say 37mm.

I have one quick question, is there anything add-on's for this camera, like a water proof exterior or something. I'm a Jr. Storm/Tornado Chaser, and I trashed my last camera in the rain, lol. So now, I got this camera. I really like it, and it's the darn BEST camera I have ever owned. So, is there anything to keep it from getting wet that you know of? I have to know, or this will be another $250 down the drain, LOL!

@SMITEM1 I am not 100% sure, there might be now, this is a fairly new camera that sony has released, I haven't checked out the accessories for this camera. I doubt it, to be honest, but maybe there is. You'll have to do the research yourself. Sorry wish I could be more helpful!

@NGGReviews not necessarily, visit their website to find out. GoPro HD Hero Naked has no helmet inculed and you can attach it on many objectives or just normaly use it. Other than that its way smaller than this. The one you are talking about is the "HD Helmet HERO"

@parkourip I'm sorry but you have NO idea what you are talking about. You're claiming that a camera made for SPORTS is better than this camera. I specifically tell you in my video and in my comment responses, this camera is made for what a NORMAL CAMCORDER is made for. Your little "GoPro" HD "Sports" camera is no where near "better" than this camera. Other than sports, that camera is completely useless. And yes, I DID visit their website.

@parkourip HD isn't the greatest thing ever. The most popular people on youtube didn't have HD with their first few videos. I highly doubt that it takes real 1080p. Plus all HD files do is clog your computer space. Stop trying to tell people to buy something they have absolutely no use for, I don't know a single person with a GoPro, in fact when I talk to most camera experts I know they don't even know what I'm talking about.

GoPro is been up for about 2 years, so its a brand new company. that doesnt mean it isnt good, proof is on videos, not just GoPro channel but by ppl that have bought it and you can clearly see the huge difference on quality.

@jaylan59 YOu should have done that the first time you turned it on actually, but if you didn't just go to your menu and scroll down and there should be a Date/Time button under Manage Media or Edit or something. It's there, don't worry. I'll go check it later and confirm where it is to you. and thanks for the feedback!
