  • I loved it :)

  • 0:35

  • I like what you did with the falling tree.

  • It's interesting because this pretty much sums up not only the dark side of Disney, but also the dark side of other cartoons.

  • WoW!, I just freakin' Loved It!. It totally put kinda like a Dark Twist to Disney, I just absolutely Loved It.

  • What is 3:46 from? I really want to watch that. Could some one please tell me?

Where'd you get all these movies from? I mean the video clips.

  • marilyn manson

  • hey i wonder if anyone would know this movie but i remember a loooong time ago when i was like 4 and i saw a movie - cartoon- that was about a kid who had nightmares and in one scene he was dreaming that his bed legs grew and was walking around the city and i think a while later he goes to a dream land and stuff lol i hardly remember it but its been driving me nuts because i can't remember the name of it, does anyone know?

  • That was very gooood :D

  • a good twist of the dark side of Walt Disney and his evil gene. Also..a very good trip if ur high

  • hug me this is weird

  • Thanks.

  • What is 1:20?

  • How the grinch stole christmas.

  • A very disturbing twist on one's childhood of media... Very nicely done. What we learn over time about the morbid reality of these stories - very nicely displayed.

  • SUPER FREAKIN' AWESOME

  • Very, very well done. All the work you put into it really paid off, the vid stands as wickedly twisted masterpiece.

  • I agree, but if you think about a lot of fairy tales are twisted. Like Snowwhite and the 7 dorfs and everything with the evil step mothers, but I like this vid and music.

  • Good work.

  • This is the dark side of cartoons, f'real, f'real. x.o Makes me feel like getting some eyeliner and write bad poems about how innocence is lost.

  • heh this makes happy. you have no idea! lol

  • You know even I an animation fan have to admit there are moments in my fave toons that looks like something out of a Marylin Manson video.

  • Dude this thing is awsome.

    great job on this

  • Spooky....

  • i like the ren and stimpy part

  • Some might find this stupid, kiddish, or corny, but I think it's excellent.

    Good work dude.

  • Man this reminds me of how scary these movies really were.

  • Thanks for creating this--you twisted all the best parts into a deliciously dark montage of childhood entertainment.

  • this is a freaky amv.

and did anyone else notice this or is it just me

at 1:21 with scar and the hyenas....it reminds me of nazis...

  • I think someone did mention that.

  • Lol, it does.

  • I was young, but i still follow them

  • wow this is really something!!! i mean u left me speachless... INCREDIBLE!!!

  • Hello, mrsawyer just checking on old favorties, still a masterpeice

  • Why thank you, Juggalo. That Juggalo as in ICP?

  • I think that guy was from Beauty and the Beast. I liked it at the end when all those clips were going by fast. I liked to figure out where they were from.

  • oh yeah, I always knew disney was evil hehe, that's why I loved watching it when I was small. what's the name of the cartoon with the old guy with the coin?

  • Beauty and the Beast.

  • This video kicks ass. This is one of the best things I have ever seen on youtube. It's really awesome, and it's nice to see someone who has probably worked on editing as much as I have. Awesome Could've used some clips of Fidget from the Great Mouse Detective and more Maleficent. Otherwise brilliant. Genuise, really great. The old Disney movies are so much better. Excellent video, well done.

  • Yeah, forgot about fidget.

  • You never realize just how scary some childhood memories are until you go back and watch them years later.

Though the pink elephants have always scared me.

    Awesome match-up!

  • friki xd

  • That was incredible

  • Wow, cartoons are evil! Excellent work!!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

  • Holy Crap! Great Job! Without the happy parts of the segments you chose, Disney movies can appear to be extremely evil, like the lion king sequence where all the jackals march like n@$! soldiers and look up at Scar like he was H!7l#r.

Fantastic job on putting these pieces together.

  • Excellent!!!

  • Greatjob!

  • soooo, walt disney is a pervert?

  • not necessarly. He just used sex a hidden motif in his movies. Take Manson for example. He is a transvestite but is he gay?

  • hmm I still dont feel comfortable knowing that he did that for whatever reason, but manson is problaly bisexual haha....

  • He says he's straight and just likes to behave bisexual/gay; His state of mind is straight.

  • Pretty cool. Should have used the original song, though.

  • Well, it was the Sweet Dreams video that inspired this one, but I don't think I had even heard the Eurythmics version until after this.

  • The scenes with the Beast tearing up the portrait of his prince self.. is that from the original movie or one of the sequels?

  • Original.

  • LMAO naaaa, this is soo oxymoronic in the sence that the message of disney overall is purely hapiness joy wonder and all the nice things in the world, on the other hand marylin manson well, AMV's work better and only select animes fully express this.

  • You know that Walt Disney put loads of subliminal messaging into his movies that introduced young audiences to sex right? So next time when doing a comparison try to keep you facts straight. I agree with you on a certain degree but you need to be mre correct next time.

  • any idea why he would do that?

  • Actually only a few of those secret meages were prooven correct, the rest were all lies, or coincidences. And the ones that did occur for real, (such as the pornography image being slipped into an apartment window of an original cut of The Rescuers) wasnt done by Walt, but some bored guy in the animation departments. Walt never did any such prank himself.

  • wow good job

I think I saw a clip from Princess Mononokie also

very nice indeed kudos to you

  • all my compliments for this video...

    5 stars!!

  • OmG, i luv Disney Villans (xD) and Marylin's music...

    Great job

  • That is so cool how you make cartoons so dark and scary in this video you did great! Yay!

  • the darkside of disney

  • Nice. From what cartoon are the clowns, working as firemen at 1:00?

  • Dumbo.

  • Dumbo

  • LOL...Alice [from alice in wonderland] was on some freaky LSD

  • hence Jeffersons Airplane's White Rabbit.

  • u no i neva new disney cartoons could b so freakish lol

  • a scarty view on cartoons... its excellent!!!

  • Man-Cartoons are some tripped out shit. How cool are the old cartoons and freaky are the new ones?Im gonna start watching more cartoons

  • I Loved It!! <3

  • Wow, Disney and Rock music. I think I stayed in Wonderland for a little to long.

  • Nice vid dude.. well done...

  • 3:45 is an episode of BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES about the terrifying birth of clayface. I recognize that seen. A quote from that seen is "You want it Daggot, let's give him all the stuff he'll ever need!!!"

  • alot of these toons scared me when i was little >_< arrrgh painful memories.

    Brill vid, 1000000/10 stars

  • That's the idea. That was the original concept. Your first fears.

  • cool. What was that at 1:02 ?

  • mickie taking water

  • Dumbo. The scene where he's working for the circus. ^^;

  • what was the scene at 2:45 with the girl tied up and the devil figure coming towards her?

  • Superman.

  • Wow, I never realized how creepy the early Disney movies were....good vid, your clips match up well with the song, five stars from me. :D

  • a bit creeepy.i loved it.good song.good vid

  • Woah, trippy. Nice work.

  • This was some serious shit! Exellently edited, but I was also wondering what clip 3.45 was? That was a little... Creepy... But all in all a great film! A good 12 out of 10 possible!!!

  • I've said before. It's Batman the Animated Series.

  • awesome amazing incredible astounding one of the best things created on youtube!!!! i dont know what else to say. just one question..what the hell is that clip at 3:45? thats one of the creepiest things i noticed.

  • I've said before. It's Batman the Animated Series.

  • ooo, yes that was nice. hella clips, hella props

good editing all in all. check out my phycodelic video "Nicelast". also what movie was it where you are looking up at the trees, its the dispaly pic of the video

  • Bambie :]

  • This is good!

  • Awesome, nice editing and a nice variation of clips. I'm favoriting this one.

  • Nice little amv.

  • Real cool, Made my Sat morn

    E

  • And I think that Kingdom Hearts or Kingdom Hearts 2 stuff has got to go because it's not a movie, it's a video game.

  • I was wondering, you should've used clips from these Disney movies:

    1. Peter Pan

    2. The Sword in the Stone

    3. The Black Cauldron

    4. The Little Mermaid

    5. The Rescuers Down Under

    6. Mulan

    7. Tarzan

    8. The Emperor's New Groove

  • Yeah, it was hard to find clips from some movies though.

  • Awesome, well edited

  • Really interesting video. Awesome mix . LUV IT

  • wow...that's some fantastic editing work right there! Splendid!

  • Dear Mr. Sawyer; I can only say that you are truly one of the DARK ones. Thank you for entertaining me in such a magnificent way. Although you didn't see me, I was lurking at your Psychopath debut. I must say, I was impressed by the audience's reaction to real gore at its best. I can't wait to have the opportunity to lurk at the "next" screen full of terror. Until then, DARKESTUNDERWORLD waits.

  • fantastic!!

  • Great! Great!! I also wonder what was at 3:45

  • oh that was that scene from Batman The Animated Series where 2 thugs hold that guy down and pour that wierd molding clay-makup stuff on him, spawning "Clayface"

  • that was creepy... but good

  • Nice work, I enjoyed it even though I don't like that version of the song. Just one question. Where is Voltron?

  • ah see this is why I loved these animations... that's what I remember feeling about them - awesome collection, nice edits - I'm gonna go watch some cartoons!

  • wow awsome job music went well.

  • Very well done.

  • excellent! Wow forgot how dark some of the disney was. Fit the song to a T.

  • At 3:45, what was that from? you did a good job.

  • Batman. It's the scene that spawned the Clayface character.

  • Batman: The Animated Series.

  • wow... nice job!

  • Absolutely brilliant, had me watching from start to end. Some old classics and really well mixed!

  • That's just spiffy Charlie.

  • Cool nice work :D

  • that was so good well done

  • Great job i love all the cartoons in it. You also have time to identify them before they flip to a new one good job really!

  • That just kicked so much ass.

  • That was really well done! The transition of the video was right on the spot, although after when the lyrics ended, you should of put some other videos rather than leaving it blank. But you deserve a good pat on the back for this. Nice work!

  • There's actually some titles in the film version during that part, I excluded them from this version.

  • sick sick sick loved it

  • this was really, really cool... it's so weird seeing all those things at once and everything coming back to you.

  • That's the idea.

  • Very good stuff, but that spongebob has got to go.

  • It'll make it last longer. 20 years, Spongebob'll be old school.

  • kOOL...I LIKE THE DIFFERENT SPOOKY SCENES YOU PUT TOGETHER AND OFCOURSE THE SONG WAS TOTALLY AWSOME...

  • awesome

  • very well put together, im impressed!!!

  • Wow, absolutely amazing, that was one helluva video, fantastic job with the timing, and the capturing of the mood of the song dead on. A solid 5 stars.

  • I must admit, after watching this vid again, I can safely say it's not only stunning, it's one of the best I have ever seen. The way you made it all flow so naturally is just incredible. You sir, have ALOT of talent, and this vid proves it. It has been added to my favs too.

  • Woot! All my favorite animations!!!! And I am impressed how you did not only use 'psycho' evil clips, but a lot of things that were cleverly placed out of context to go with the song. Disney has some beautifully frightful footage in many places that takes a keen eye to appriciate them. My only suggestions for improvement is to make the ending have more of an impact somehow.

  • That's a good suggestion, but I'm done with this. I'll keep that in mind for future projects.

  • Some of that stuff fit really well. It's nice to have that nostalgia of all the old movies of my childhood, thanks for that.

  • Great job man and yeah oldschool cartoons are badass!

  • loved it

  • Awesome.

  • Very good. Very very very good.

  • good and well put together but if you make another try using a little less disney

  • wow that was fantastic! very well mixed. i was reading through your tags (the extras) when do the actors from hannah montana come in? did i totally miss it? lol

  • I see a lack of Felidae and Watership Down, but it was good anyway. ^-^

  • I like it

  • why did you put hannah montana in the list?

  • One frame near the beginning.

  • cool vid, oldschool cartoons are way better than todays crap

  • nice bit of editing. Really cool stuff

  • An excellent pice of art. Please do some more.

  • I was originally thinking you should have used more clips from things like Batman and Princess Mononoke, but then I watched it again and I think it's better with mainly Disney material. It demonstrates how important music is to the context we view clips in, and it also makes the point that the reason that new Disney films are shite is that there isn't enough dark and scary stuff to contrast with the lighter bits, leaving a big fluffy mess that fails to entertain even children.

  • True. Disney needs to go back to their "fairy tale" roots. Those stories had 'happily ever after", but only after some disturbing concepts. A young woman forced to live with a monster. A smoking catepillar and disapearing cat. Frolo's "Hellfire". Where is the darker side of Disney that makes the lighter side that much brighter?

  • Awsome Job 5 Stars

  • You did a great job! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this, it all blends together perfectly.

  • wow great video. I love the way video matches with song. good one.

  • Brilliant and scary!

  • this is awesome, it brought back many memories from my youth. this is added to my favorites. keep up the good work
