They didn't get permission to use Bowie's music on this docu, so they used a feckin awful cover artist for the songs on this. Just makes my ears bleed...
Man, I dig Russell Harty so much more since the first time I watched this interview. Fact is that this Thin White Duke interview is one of most interesting Bowie did, just because of Russell provocative ways. Notice how Bowies answers make up for his difficult questions. Notice how Russell is stepping out of his role at the 27:00 mark because of Bowies elegant way of avoiding the more snobby questions, great stuff really. :)
its like simon cowell trying to interview frank zappa....or people who destroy jack daniels by puttin cola in it.aint appnin gov.nor...........bowie is and always will be music/god/hero to me and if you r like me you will be lovin seein bowie at the peek of his musical carrer in this interview.wow, the coolest mutha fucka i ever did see
guess the interviewwer never got to find his own style and point in life...bowie managed that from day one, so its natural that people less gifted like mr. asshole-interviewer gets jealous*grins
this interviewer is a complete asshole - where is he now? does anyone know his name? and who is DAVID BOWIE? Ah, yes! One of the greatest rockstars EVER.
Delicious, 07:33 In David looks at the camera, look at me. I will listen to this video thousands of times to understand what David says. This time I learn English.
bloodyhell russell harty was not a good interviewer..such annoying vacuous questions...its amazing how good bowie is at handling him..especially for someone who was still quite young.
what is the point that the condescending British interviewer is trying to make? Is this a joke or is he really a stuck up nosy wanna be snob? David Bowie is a pioneer, he is definitely the most talented musician and most decent individual that has ever walked on this earth....and put up w/ all that crap for 25minutes,,,What a great documentary!!!!!
@pointman05 Russel Harty (the interviewer) had a very snobby and stuck up approach to interviewing a lot of people. At the time Bowie was seen as being outside the norm and Russell Harty spoke to him in a very dismissive way. Harty was actually a decent interviewer but he didn't do a good job here!
what is the song at like 41:30? please respond!

@luizmarcondesmusica The interviewer was Russell Harty, a gay guy from Lancs who died of HepB in 1988.
