@Swedishcarrina The "small credit unions" are involved in the fractional reserve scheme, same as the other banks. The credit unions also demand more money (interest) than they bring into existence (loans). This practice ALWAYS means someone can not payback their loan = financial terror...just because the credit unions appear to help more, locally, does not mean that having currency based on debt is a good thing...transferring your money WILL create a good stir for the banks, though!!!

Credit unions trade with the banks. The only way to really hit them in the pockets is to remove your money from their control.
