in the end of the steel grave story vinnie was so much attached to sonny that he considered himself responsible to sonny's death thats why in the begning of season 2 when he quit ocb until frank came and asked him to rejoin he sai"frank i made a joke out of the word friendship" an epic series
Ces deux gars auraient mérité une carrière brillante. Au lieu de ça... l'un est mort en transmettant sa maladie à sa copine avant, l'autre n'a plus rien refait au cinéma. Si je dois écrire un scénario, c'est pour Ken Wahl.
This isn't the finale I remember. The electrocution scene was longer, and Nights in White Satin played during that dramatic scene. I still remember it. Is this off the DVD? Did they cut out scenes? I know they removed NIWS from the DVD but why is it in the other clip at the wrong moment, in a prior scene? This is really weird! Maybe they taped several versions for different countries, like other shows?
I wish there was a boxed set of this first season. I still think about this show. Things are always reminding me of it. Really stuck with me. It was sooooooooooooooooooo good.
@shumirules1 I found it in syndication and was hooked. You are right. This show would have been great on HBO. You can see a show like the Sopranos foreshadowed by this show.
@shumirules1 before there was tivo there was vhs and this was always on record for me 25 years ago...one of my favorites and as u say a show ahead of its time...steelgrave arc, mel profit arc, dead dog records, don aiuppo...remember it like it was yesterday...
I have every episode on VHS from back when the show was on. RIP Ray Sharky. Ken, he is doing alright these days. Wish some network would air the entire series again.
can someone be a legend and upload a couple of episodes of the series,i desperately wanna see the t.v series. One of my favourites a classic from the 80's
I have every episode on VHS from back in the day. Just now getting round to buying the DVD's! I love this then and I live it now. God Bless you Ray Sharkey, we were all sad to see you pass to the next life. God Bless Ken Whal.
I still have this episode on my videotape from the CBS broadcast. Now that was drama! So popular was villain Sonny Steelgrave, that "WISEGUY" brought him back in Vinny Terranova's dream sequences in future episodes.
No - not one of the best - the best!! Name another? This was only the final scene of the Steelgrave series, Wiseguy continued, but never reached this heigth. Beautiful Man just beautiful!!!
His career did not end, he did do other films. But this was definitely his time in the sun. Kevin Spacey seems to have had the most successful career with the Oscar win and he continues to be on the A-list. I guess his fire burns the brightest.

@7beers I downloaded it from someone who was sharing clips in Livejournal. I rather not say her username.

I still hold out hope an all things EAGLES. They do love their lawyers though. Someone could hide it over on LiveVideo's channel!!

What was the reason for not releasing them?

Been a long time, but wasn't "Knights in White Satin" playing on the jukebox during this final scene?
thepond99 3 years ago
Yes, but they didn't have the rights to include it in the DVD release. Lame! Or Stephen Cannell didn't want to shell out the dough...

i have the original tape of nights bt i have no idea how to upload it??

Why's that? You mean capture to a file for uploading? Use a USB cap device (ADS Tech IIRC, is the one I use)

One of my favorite scenes of all time: Ray Sharky having those two fights with the car that he stole, "'Please check your fuel level' 'Shutup'"
There were a lot of those great moments in this show, not the least of which is, "Hey, this is about the Law, man."
