I bough my laptop from Walmart and it's lasted for 2 years. I also gotta say I'm a hardcore gamer and constantly edit videos and pictures, so I torture the shit out of this computer and it doesn't fail.
As much as I dont like walmart, I dont see how Walmart is to blame on this fail. I blame the mass majority of dumb asses that shop their everyday. They find it funny to fuck with every computer, tv, and other display they can touch.
@crapper1 Well working at walmart (college student) they carry the lowest priced stuff of every line of product. Its how walmart works. If you but a laptop for 300 dollars dont expect it to last or work very good. On the other hand I build my own so i know how shitty their stuff is. Vizio for one is the worst thing to happen to the electronic market. They really have fucked up quality and no service. So yes in a sense walmart gets cheap crap.

How does that give you the power to measure a machines internal quality? You built your own, gratz. But thats about it. Many of us build our own, doesn't give us miraculous inside knowledge of a machine we have never used, touched or taken apart. And, for the record, I have a four year old Acer 5050 thats still alive and kicking. Bought it at Walmart. The uploader sounds like a retard so no surprise his machines "crap out".
@vaerhdf6 What I mean is that I can select a better quality parts and performance. If I pick up a computer from walmart and compare to what I can build then you have a lot better choice. I can get lower latency ram, better hdd with better read and write speeds, a better cpu with more cache or lower NM, a better GPU, motherboard and better power managemtn and better power supply. I work at a computer shop by the job and i have seen many computers that come in for repairs.
