must be the worst tranfer decision in the history of football ...he did not even want to go ..but did and the rest is history...always remember the game at spurs when he first came back as an Arsenal keeper ..arsenal won 5-0...he should have still been in the spurs goal..i remember being so sad that the man we loved so much ...had been taken away from us,,,he was just so incredibly good ...you always had a chance with pat in goal,,,hope i can meet him one day ,and share some of my memories
As an Arsenal fan, thank you Spurs for one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world. What a discusting way to treat one of your greatest players. i dont blame him for joining the best team in north london.
The Spurs board sold him because they thought he was too old at 31 & signed Ray Clemence four years later who was 33. The Spurs boards ever since have carried on the tradition of one step forward, two steps back!.

Hmm those in glass houses. Look how Wenger treats players that get over 30. Look how he treated Pires, Viera and others.
And just because your current location is in north london. Do not forget your roots. Your a south london club and always will be. WOOLWICH Arsenal.
