My mentally ill son was 36 yrs. old and falsely accused of sexual abuse by an 8 yr. old girl. He had no idea why this child would lie. It took many years before this girl grew up and recanted to an ex-commander of homicide in Maryland, now head of a national voice-testing company, Mike McQuillan.
Why did she lie? She was jealous of the relationship my son had with her older sister, who she was extremely attached to. Also, her grandmother and a gossipy neighborhood watchwoman suggested it.
The onus is not upon the prosecutor to prove your guilt... that task is yours to prove and double prove and reprove your innocence and every aspect of your living reality will be brought under scrutiny... then you MUST disprove the allegations against you.
And NOBODY in the legal profession is your friend.
The tragedy is that all of my money, none of the tens of thousands of dollars I spent defending myself against the lies... contributed to my childrens future.
Every penny went to the legal profession and courts and their appointed cronies.
If you have been Falsely Accused DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE what you're up against, you're in for the fight of your life on a Jousting Field where truth is meaningless and in no way serves your cause.
As a father who was ejected from his childs life for over a decade due to the lies spaketh by his son at the childs mothers behest (ie my ex-wife coached my son)... I quite assure Dean is not being overly dramatic or embellishing.
My daughter (as children are want to do) eventually grew up) and saw through her mothers lies (as children are want to do) and made the choice to come live with me.
