  • Navarro - best thing that ever happened to RHCP

    FACT

  • @EARTHRAPER false

  • @EARTHRAPER .....fuck off you know nothing

  • I always loved the mellow outro to this song in particular. It's really a shame they didn't develop it more. On the whole there's not a bad song on this album. A must own.

  • classic song...peppers/addiction hybrid....im glad One Hot Minute happened...after the Soul to Squeeze single it was time for a new direction...and u can tell a lot of drugs was goin on during the making of this...the outtro is fuckin amzing on this song and not nearly long enough..its heavily influenced by Navarro...so's not a bad thinh imo

  • @TheMicturation yes, very good also thank to drugs

  • I like this record a lot, it just wasn't what people expected out of RHCP so a lot of the masses skipped it. Lots of the new fans didn't know BSSM was different from their older stuff, this also was different but in a whole 'nother way. They sure have changed a lot over the years but elements have endured. So glad they survived this period and RHCP without Fruiscante would now be like ... well, Jane's Addiction without Dave Navarro. All great musicians and I'm huge fan of them all.

  • One Hot Minute is awesome but I like Blood Sugar Sex Magic better. :)

  • I like this track.

  • navarro era is shit!

  • @MultiVitoralmeida Your shit and I don't complain.

  • I feel like this song is a mix of rhcp, janes addiction (obviously), and pearl jam

  • @MonkeyManPersonShow thats a damn fine mix

  • Why did so many hate one hot minute? It was an awesome album! One of thier bests!

  • For some of RHCP's darkest hours, this song has some of their greatest lyrics.

  • sounds like a janes addiction song...

  • @purplecan26 Dude, the guitarist is the Janes Addiction guitarist.

  • @RHCPFreaklol Yeah Navarro only did this album though, he had a massive addiction to coke or some shit and the band couldn't take it so they kicked him out. Then I think Frusciante joined back for 2 more albums or some shit like that.

  • @RHCPFreaklol haha. good one

  • amazing song! so powerful

  • i dont care what any of u say this album destroyed rhcp.bssm was there absolute best albulm of all time!

  • @GingeyisBeast How did it destroy them? They're still playing......

  • You guys are crazy I LOVE this album! I love the psychadelic/hard rock/funk feel this album gives. I really don't know how this is considered one of their worst albums. To me it's one of their most creative albums they've made. Sure Frusciante's not there but Dave Navarro is a great replacement. Just my personal opinion.

  • @enyap05 agree 1000% with u...after the release of Breaking the girl & Soul to squeeze as singles a trend toward middle road comfort was developing as good as those songs are...Navarro injected a bent metal, punk.psychedelic angle...this song and album along with BSSM remain the crowning glory in the bands tumultous career imo...a very dark album indeed but a good one none the less.

  • love the delay ridden echoey solo in this!

  • I love you, Dave Navarro.

  • I love the outro:)

  • i never payed attention to the lyrics of this song, it just crazy and poethic

  • Brilliant album.

One Hot Minute is better than anything RHCP have done since Californication.

By The Way and Stadium Arcadium were both mediocre at best.

  • @JurrahWattsGrimes Well if they were mediocre then how did they sell more than this get better reviews and BE BETTER than this?

  • @RHCPFreaklol you are insinuating that everything the masses like is good because of the fact that the masses like it. are you sure that's what you wanna say?

  • @korndawg879 Dude, I can't fucking understand you.

  • i agree with korndawg WTF?

  • @RHCPFreaklol because it was more pop then rock

  • @ChamberZ So, bands change over time.

  • @ChamberZ

Dude, RHCP have been a 'pop' band for a real long time now.....

  • @gregpasq Dude, to me, pop is shit like Justin Bieber.

  • @RHCPFreaklol There's many different kinds of pop my friend. If you're talking about popular music, yes RHCP are it. They are one of the most popular acts out there. Pop as a GENRE is different. Most pop has perfectly manufactured with very little offensive topics, perfectly tuned vocals, catchy radio-friendly hooks, easily accessible topics such as love, etc. Justin Bieber, Britney, etc. You know, the bubblegum pop. I feel that this kind of pop is very sterile and unworthy of attention but w/e.

  • @SubsistenceSC If these people are talking about them being popular then that's true but they are talking about them being the genre pop. They are popular as hell but they aren't pop.

  • @RHCPFreaklol So True

  • @RHCPFreaklol

BTW and SA are some kind of pop, it can't be denied

and there's nothing worng or bad about it, I really like those albums and they're one of my favs

  • @gregpasq They've never been pop. Kesha, Justin Bieber , Britiny Spears are pop. RHCP isn't even close to that.

  • @LightzenoLZ True that!

  • @RHCPFreaklol Yes That is right

  • @LightzenoLZ

Well, I will have to slightly disagree with you. While in spirit RHCP may not be 'pop', as you say, every release since "Mother's Milk" has gotten progressively more radio-friendly. That's not by accident.

  • @JurrahWattsGrimes

    100% agree

  • @JurrahWattsGrimes this was before californication

  • @JurrahWattsGrimes what do you mean since Californication...this was before it. And by the way and stadium arcadium are great albums. this is very good, but don't knock other great albums

  • best RHCP song of ALL albums.

    I've spoken.

  • All the way every day... California

  • 4:19 - 5:06 = sound of Heaven.

  • they needed to make the calm bit at the end much longer......I FUCKING LOVE THAT BIT

  • the chorus of that song sounds like pearl jam xD

  • the drums in this song kick ass :D

  • SEXYY Dave Navarro .... i internet stalk him every day ...jk

  • I love this album! best or not would be depend on taste but I really like this one

  • frederic bovy

  • Classic!

  • Thank you again RHCP freaklol!!

I just love this!! Great album!! just like all of 'em from beggining to Californication.

  • this song is the greatest on many drugs....the beginning bit is so eerie....especially the its warping me bit with the echoes.......

    best listend with headphones

  • If you should've learned anything from RHCP, then that would be that drugs are bad.

  • i hate when people say dave navarro sound sucks.! i Californication was my favorite album but One Hot Minute was awseome. I mean it may not be RHCP Sound. But it was a good album

  • @squadus15 right on. Navarro's solo is kickass in this song and mountain song w/ JA is another great one. not the best fit but he did great on this album.

  • @squadus15 ...I think it was MUCH MUCH stronger than Californication, or any following albums. It is my personal favorite, but that is my opinion, with BloodSugarSexMagic being a very, very, very close second.

  • hmm its not their best ...

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • loooooove OHM

  • This is such an amazing, but sad song. I can't believe the band didn't know about his relapse though.

  • I what Anthony Kiedis is saying in this song. and the fact that nobody understands it makes me angry as well

this song is him telling the world he was back on drugs

good song over all just a bad message

  • I wonder what The Empyrean says about Frusciante in that case!

  • IIRC this song was written by Dave Navarro...

  • I used to love getting high and listening to this song!

  • So HArDCoRE*

  • i like it... i wanna get up and dance around to this!

  • Thank you so damn much RHCP freaklol for this video!!! I've been looking for it for so long even thouh i have all rhcp albums..WARPED is just so AWESOME!!!

    rocks me ass off!!

  • Another strong song by RHCP. Anthony was trying to tell his fellow band mates that he had relapsed back into addiction. :(

  • Tearjerker is great, but Transcending is the TRUE masterpiece of this album.

  • how anyone in their right mind can label tearjerker of boring...is just devoid of any emotion

a song about just recent suicide of a heroin addict in kurt cobain, written by anthony who relapsed into heroin and also was bruishing with death...how these circumstances do not command your full emotional involvement in tearjerker to appreciate it as the beautiful piece that it is...well then i have nothing to say to u....

  • A great song!

  • Yeah, RHCP in studioooo :D

  • It looks like Warped is by far the best song from the album. Yes Coffee shop, Deep kick and One hot minute are nice but some songs are like lullabys or something. Great album but it's the start of sleeping pill albums lol.

  • Aeroplane?

  • @sinning1966 Tearjerker is awesome.

  • I can't stand One big mob. The song sounds like One big orgy lol.

  • I so agree with you! Great song about Kurt. Very touching and sad. I love RHCP!

  • @RHCPFreaklol yeah but falling into grace is the best song on the album

  • very grunge.

  • my favorite song on the whole album

  • Great track! Cheers Mr Rick Rubin - really underrated album - tight as a gnats chuff!

  • Freaky song!

  • Such a Great Song! I love it today, just as much as I did 14 years ago, when I heard it for the first time.

  • I <3 the music video for this song... Very artistic

  • THAT'S RHCP

  • this song rulezz... One Hot Minute... Definately the best album of the Red Hot Chili Peppers... the b-side of that song is also amazing, Melancholy Mechanics

  • indeed my friend

  • Comment removed

  • honestly i dont agree at all. dont get me wrong, its a great album just not their best

  • musically, is their best (atleast in my opinion) but don't get me wrong because all of their albums are great and they are def the best band in the world it's just that if I had to choose one album I'd choose this one

  • well at least you stick with that opinion, honestly even though its not my favorite album from them i think it deserves more respect :)

  • indeed my friend =]

  • HaHa, I got first view ^^
