ok im not the type to get upset easily but seriously, the whole L thing does make me sad, I cried when I saw that horrible episode, I cried again about an hour later and i still cry when i see parts of the episode, and every time i see these sad amvs, that sets me off too! i guess it makes me sad because L, possibly the most innocent of anyone died trying to save people who werent innocent at all. how can you not cry?
the reason I'm still crying is that L never really knew what happiness was like... he coulda had a happier life... he was dissed by all the other kids... nobody wanted to play with him... he was the smartest of them all... RIP L.
SPOILER: His only friend (besides Misa I guess). His only friend killed him. A poor orphan with no family was killed. No one cried at his funeral. No one really missed him because no one really loved him. What a sad ending.
Yeah...after L died, I was pretty happy happy that they killed off Light in the end too. Although...I kinda wish that Light would of had some dignity went he went down...lol. Instead he just went crazy and ran like a little bitch. But in a way that was kinda satisfying too...lol
If you read background info from the author of the series, they claim that L was lying when he called Light his only friend. x3 It's still sad but L's not the completely innocent person everyone thinks he is. I love L of course, but hate how it's so black and white. xD
I adore L, my favorite ever. But you're right, he's not so innocent, and the creators say he's almost evil. But i think that's going to far. I think L is brillant, adorable, but not completely innocent.

Yes, I beleive so. He saw that Light was acting weird right after the Yotsuba Incidint, and I gues L concluded that he was planning to kill him. He couldn't do anything about it though, except one thing. He set that timer, remember? For those who watched the seires, you'll know which one Im talking about. I feel sry for L. Why would Light apologize though? Light's not ashamed of what he did, he took all responsibility at the beginning. He never liked L, just used him. So honestly, Light's death was perfect for the beast he was and now he'll go to neither heaven nor hell. (L's ghost more or less symbolizes that L won in the end). Near dying would've been pointless.
Near was okay (reli cute with his little finger puttets) but L was always better! hoter god it would be the a miracle if i found a guy mi age just like him i love Ls laid back personality and wat he wear and the way he sits(lol i sit like that, even before i even heard of death note) and its still sad that Light forced rem into doing it 2 save misa i mean i got mi hopes up but wen he closed his eyes and and never opend them again i cried

That's only in the movie, not the anime or manga. Technically the manga was first, and Light tricked Rem into writing L's name down.
